Happy to be part of stories on women's contributions to modern society: Suzanne Bernert
As a German-born actor working in Indian entertainment, actress Suzanne Bernert has helped break barriers about foreign actors and women in Indian media. She represents inclusivity and the idea that talent transcends nationality and gender. This International Women's Day, Suzanne talks about celebrating and supporting women.
"Women's contributions to modern society are immeasurable and profound," she says, adding, "From politics to education, business to social services, arts and culture to sports, aerospace to journalism and media, science and technology to literature, entertainment to philanthropy, spiritual and religious leadership, entrepreneurship, social activism, and environmental conservation, women are making an impact in every field. Their hard work and determination are a testament to their remarkable strength and resilience."
She adds, "I feel as an actor, I enjoy an opportunity to explore and deliver the various ways in which women are contributing to the advancement of society, to acknowledge their accomplishments, and to recognize the challenges that still exist for women. I'm happy to be part of stories which aims to shed light on the significance of women's contributions in shaping modern society and to inspire future generations of women to continue to make a difference in their communities and beyond."
Suzanne says that just by living your life you can inspire people. "It all depends on how you conduct yourself in difficult situations because you are in the limelight a lot. I have had wonderful conversations with female fans who told me that I am an inspiration to them. That is a big gift and responsibility that I take seriously. I feel through their work and public presence, actors inspire young girls to dream big and pursue careers in the arts or any other field they choose," she says.
