Govinda steps in for wife Ssunita Ahuja to support daughter Tina on Preeti and Neeti Simoes’ Maa Hai Na
In an interesting turn of events, actor Govinda is set to join Preeti and Neeti Simoes’ cooking reality show Maa Hai Na to support daughter Tina Ahuja. Tina is originally participating on the show alongside mother Ssunita Ahuja as a team. However, with Ssunita missing the shoot for the past few episodes, Govinda will now step in for her. While many may expect the episode to lead to a public reunion amid the recent spotlight on Govinda and Ssunita’s relationship, that does not seem to be on the cards.
A source associated with the project says, “Ssunita ji has been unavailable to shoot for the past few episodes. We thought of bringing in another important person in Tina’s life to support her on the show. That is how we approached Govinda sir, and we are glad he agreed to be a part of Maa Hai Na. He is scheduled to shoot for the episode today.”
Govinda and Ssunita have been in the news over the past year following speculation around their relationship after Ssunita revealed in interviews that they had been living in separate homes. However, both have repeatedly dismissed separation rumours and maintained that they continue to be together. Married since 1987, the couple have often spoken about their long journey together and are parents to daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan Ahuja. While Tina made her acting debut with Second Hand Husband, Yashvardhan has also been preparing for his entry into films. Despite the public attention around their personal lives, the family has continued to make appearances together on several occasions.
As reported by us earlier, Maa Hai Na, hosted by Shilpa Shetty, features family pairings and emotional storytelling. Social media personality Manisha Rani is participating with her father and was initially the only contestant not paired with her mother. Tina has now joined the lineup, albeit briefly, with Govinda stepping in to cheer her on.
Producer duo Preeti and Neeti Simoes continue to expand their reality show space with Maa Hai Na, a family-focused cooking show built around emotional bonds and relationships. The show recently made headlines after Govinda stepped in to support daughter Tina Ahuja during her stint on the series.
