Govinda reacts to nephew Krushna Abhishek’s apology, ‘The love he has for me should come out of the camera’

Comedian-actor Krushna Abhishek and his Chi-Chi mama aka Bollywood actor Govinda have been in a long going family misunderstandings. Krushna and Govinda haven’t been on talking terms after the latter took offence to his jokes cracked on The Kapil Sharma Show. Since then, there has been an exchange of brickbats between the two through several mediums. Krushna previously appeared on Maniesh Paul’s podcast and recalled what he felt about this feud and how he is extremely apologetic about it. Recently, Govinda appeared on the podcast and he finally let it out why and how he felt wrong and he only wishes happiness and success for his family. Read on:

Of all my sisters, she brought me up like a mother. She was my favourite. The love he got (Krushna), I don’t think any other kid in our family got. I feel when Krushna acts, or is made to act, whatever the scriptwriter writes… they write it according to our relation and Krushna acts accordingly. And when he accepts and acts like that, I feel as a family, you should do it in a way that the family doesn’t get hurt. That much knowledge everyone has.

Sunita (Govinda’s wife) would scold me saying, ‘Bachho ke kaam ke beech me mat aaiye aap’. Now once, they dragged her as well and she felt offended. I didn’t get in between. There was no argument. I thought when there was no tu tu main main then why was there so much of ‘thu thu’.

When Krushna’s kids were born, I went to the hospital to see them. Sunita also came. We saw them but weren’t allowed to touch them. I made Sunita understand that there are certain protocols so that the kids don’t get infected. I have gone to meet the kids several times but Krushna doesn’t accept it. He says in interviews that I haven’t come to meet his kids. Then I started doubting him. It made me wonder why he is saying this? Either he doesn’t believe me or he believes that I don’t love his kids. I couldn’t understand their thinking. He started assuming and presuming.

I am not the one to believe what a newspaper writes or a tweet reads. It amazes me that you are insulting me through a channel, you are apologising to me through a channel. Since when did I become so distant? You had to apologise to me through the channel? Why? You have started believing ka aap bade aadmi hogaye ho. Snap out of it. Stardom is ok but you have to be natural and go along with family. Ghar parivaar leke chalna hai.

He knows he is making mistakes. It was by chance that I happened to see his work on TV. I don’t watch TV but unfortunately, I just happened to see that he was talking to some actor asking if they have any filmy dushman. Krushna says, ‘Mujhe zarurat nahi hai, mere ghar me mera mama hai’. I didn’t feel that it was written by a writer. I felt he is assuming and presuming that something wrong is happening in his life due to me.

There are so many personalities like Ranveer Singh, you…everyone hugs me like I am their property. I am showered with love everywhere I go. Sometimes Sunita gets offended when female fans hug and kiss me. I tell her not to worry, let the girls enjoy. So my point here is, we don’t think much, we think about our family. What does he wants to see? Krushna is a kid. I don’t want to say this. If and when you get to hear anything about your family, you should straight call up that person and clear it out. Don’t assume.

The love that he is talking about, should come out of the camera. I understand the love and respect. I feel everyone should be happy where they are. I want to say that the writers are using you. Don’t let them use you.

Your mistakes might be through your writers or the thought might be yours, you are apologetic. Don’t use your relation for publicity. It is Maniesh’s show and I am not talking about publicity here. I think, for you and Aarti, you are my favourite sister’s kids. You have no idea how much your mother loved me. I feel sorry that you two haven’t lived that ‘sukh’. You are a good boy, Arti is a very good girl… you both are forever forgiven. We are actors and we know when it is acting. Heroism is a diamond. Use it and work hard. Bless you.
