Ashneer Grover’s recent response to Anupam Mittal’s comment about him in Shark Tank India 3 has hit the headlines. Even though the former shark isn’t a part of the business-based reality show anymore, he continues to be in the limelight. Over the years, he has stirred controversy several times. Here’s a look.

Ashneer Grover and Anupam Mittal controversy

In a recent episode of Shark Tank India 3, Anupam Mittal took a dig at Ashneer Grover. When a founder of a ‘rage rooms’ business came up on the show, Anupam made an indirect remark on Ashneer. The founder began his pitch by saying, "Sharks aapko bhi ayesa gussa aata hoga na? (Sharks, you must also be getting angry like this)." To this Shark Anupam Mittal said, "Jisko aata tha, wo gaya. (The one who used to get angry has left)." Ashneer then reacted to the same at an event. A fan shared a video on Twitter also known as X, where Ashneer Grover can be seen attending an event. There he reacted to the comment that Anupam made in a recent episode and said, "Mittal Sahab Ki na Umar hogayi hai...Dusra, gussa wala chala gaya. Ye toh fact hain na. Galat toh kuch nahi bola Mittal saab ne us tareeka se. Chala gaya… Tum sab toh thandi so sab. Tabhhi toh pehle season ka TRP dekh lo aur second, third season ka TRP dekh lo. Sab pata lag jayega. (The second person with anger issues has left the show and that is the fact, but you guys have become so cold in the show. Just see the TRP of the first season and compare it with second and third season and you will understand everything).”

Unfollowing fellow Shark Tank India judges

Ashneer won many hearts from his Shark Tank India 1 stint. Fans were quite disappointed after he didn’t return in the second season of the show. In one of his earlier interviews, he revealed that once he got to know that he isn’t a part of the show anymore, he unfollowed all the other sharks. The enterprenur even mentioned that the only reason he unfollowed them was because he didn’t want to see what’s going on in the show after he left.

Controversy with Namita Thapar

Namita Thapar and Ashneer have had an on-going verbal spat on the internet ever since he left the show. In an interview, Namita said, 'Season 2 mein the toxicity is out for good.' hinting at Ashneer Grover's exit from the show. Later, in another interview, the former shark called out Namita after he was asked about her by a fan. He said, “Namita is going everywhere and talking about me because maybe she misses me. I don’t go around and talk about her so this question isn’t for me and you should rather ask her why she talks about me so much.”

Rs 81 crore fraud case

Ashneer made major headlines after The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) registered a fraud case against him and his wife Madhuri as the two were allegedly booked for a scam of Rs 81 crore. Netizens were quite shocked as the news came out. The complaint was registered against them for allegedly misusing the company’s money through forged documents. However, the Shark Tank India 1 fame declined all the claims.

Ashneer Grover takes a dig at Shark Tank India 3

Ashneer Grover took a dig at Shark Tank India Season 3 after the channel introduced 6 new sharks for the season (12 in total) on their X handle. He expressed his thought on the business based show introducing 6 new sharks with the 3rd season. The former Shark Tank India judge even called them out by saying that the third season of the show is an audition for the next season. His tweet read, “Shark Tank 3 is ‘audition’ of sharks for Shark Tank 4! Life mein ek lesson hai - don’t change and make unnecessary problem of something which is already solved. Wish quantity solves for quality”

Ashneer Grover’s remarks on Indore land him in trouble with cops

A video has been circulated online of Grover addressing an event in Indore on Sunday. In the video, Grover is heard saying, “…the problem with me is that for three-four years I have heard that Indore is the cleanest city…you have bought the survey. It’s a simple thing.” He immediately clarified that he was not saying Indore was filthy, but that he had seen a lot of construction work going on in the city.

Ashneer Grover was a guest on reality show Roadies 19. However, his appearance on the show didn’t receive a good response from the netizens. The audiences were shocked to see him on the show and bombarded the comment section with negative comments. Users asked Ashneer, “Ye kaunse line me aagaye aap.”

Ashneer on participating in Bigg Boss

Another time when Grover grabbed eyeballs was through his condition on participating in controversial reality show Bigg Boss. The entrepreneur confirmed that he was approached for the show but he didn’t take the offer. Further, he revealed he will do the show only if he is offered more money than the host- Salman Khan.

Ashneer on choosing Salman Khan as his brand ambassador

Ashneer was invited as a guest at a college and there he opened up about choosing Salman Khan as his brand ambassador for a campaign. There, he confirmed that he had Rs 100 crore in the bank and decided to build a business out of it. He further confirmed that he wanted Salman Khan as a brand ambassador. Later, he said that the star’s manager offered Rs 7.5 crore for the deal. However, surprisingly Salman agreed to do it in Rs 4.5 crore. The enterprenur then said his manager told him, “Sir aap bhindi kharidne aaye ho kya, kitni mandawali karoge.” (Sir, have you come to buy vegetables, how much will you negotiate).
