From Priyanka Choudhary-Archana Gautam to Jasmin Bhasin-Rubina Dilaik: Best friends who turned frenemies in Bigg Boss

Reality TV show Bigg Boss is known for its fights, friendships, and fights, and Bigg Boss 16 isn't different either. Many contestants form close bonds and become thick friends but some turn against each other over a period of time due to misunderstandings or otherwise. Fans thought Rashami Desai and Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Jasmin Bhasin and Rubina Dilaik, and others were inseparable. However, things didn't go as planned for them, and their relationship soured over time.

Here's a list of such contestants who were best friends but couldn't maintain their friendship in the Bigg Boss house:

Best friends Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary and Archana Gautam were seen fighting over kitchen duties. Sajid Khan, who took over as captain, delegated kitchen duties to BFFs Archana and Priyanka. Archana told Priyanka everything she was required to do in the kitchen. However, instead of working together peacefully in the kitchen, the two had a huge fight. Archana told Priyanka to make roti’s and clean the kitchen rack to which Priyanka questioned “Kyu karu main? Tere bolne se thodi karungi? Aap karo.”

Archana, who lost her cool, said “Ehsaan mat dikha. Bigg Boss ke ghar me reh rahi hai, maa baap ne sikhaya nahi khana banana?” (Didn’t your parents teach you to cook?). This angered Priyanka and the two best friends had a huge face-off.

Gautam Vig, who had already been the captain, had the chance to elect the next captain for the show in the captaincy task along with the previous captains. During the selection Shalin requested Gautam to make Tina the next captain. Gautam refused to do so and eliminated Tina from the captaincy rae which led into a massive fight between Shalin and him. Shalin was abusing Gautam even after he warned him not to do so. Shalin was continuously provoking Gautam to come and hit him now that he has got the chance to do so.

At the start of Bigg Boss 14, Jasmin Bhasin and Rubina Dilaik had become best friends. They even admitted to living in the same building and crossing paths every other day. However, things didn't go as planned for the two of them, and they turned into bitter enemies on the show. The audience mocked Jasmin for her treatment of Rubina and vice versa. The two are now on good terms and occasionally comment on each other's posts.

In Bigg Boss 13, Siddharth Shukla and Asim Riaz were called the Ram Lakhan jodi. Their connection was something that fans admired. However, as competition grew in the show, things between the two deteriorated and they became arch-enemies. Asim and Siddharth's friendship did not last and they weren't seen together after the show. During Siddharth's final rites, however, Asim did stand by his family like a loyal friend, and he was seen broken at the crematorium.

Rashami Desai and Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who had known each other for a long time, became very close in Bigg Boss 13. The two became best friends, and it was clear on screen. They maintained their friendship and appeared as wild card participants on Bigg Boss 15. However, things became tense between the two, and there were constant clashes and spats on the show. Fans were surprised to learn that the two are becoming bitter enemies in the new Bigg Boss season.

Bigg Boss 11 celebrity Shilpa Shinde and Arshi Khan were inseparable. The two were very close, but things between them deteriorated in the Bigg Boss house. They also made headlines during the show for their ugly spats. They even stopped speaking after the show was over.

Juhi and Mahek were close friends in the Bigg Boss 5 house, but their friendship did end when Mahek discovered Juhi gossiping about her to other housemates.

In the Bigg Boss house, Karishma Tanna and Sushant Digvikar were good friends who were frequently seen together. However, for a later task, Karishma ended up choosing to save her make-up rather than Sushant. Everybody in the house were taken aback by her move. It also caused Sushant to distance from her.

The bond between Sana Khan and Rajeev Paul was unbreakable at the start of the show. However, things deteriorated and the two began fighting on the show from time to time.They stopped talking to each other.

In Bigg Boss 7, Gauahar Khan and VJ Andy were close friends. But then Andy became more involved with Tanisha, who wasn't friends with Gauahar. As a result, Andy and Gauahar fell apart.

Armaan and Sangram, who acted as brothers on the show, had their downs and peaks in the Bigg Boss house. After Sangram nominated Armaan during a nomination, the two got into a heated argument.
