From Pavitra Punia reacting to breakup rumours with Eijaz Khan to Shrenu Parikh and Akshay Mhatre's fairytale wedding; A look at Top TV news of the week

The last week has witnessed the beginning of the wedding season. From Shrenu Parikh and Akshay Mhatre's dreamy wedding and pre-wedding ceremonies to Kundali Bhagya's Twinkle Vashisht getting engaged. Apart from the weddings, there has been a new project for Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and major rifts in the Bigg Boss house.

Pavitra Punia had an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV, when asked about her breakup rumours with Eijaz Khan, she shared, "I really feel for my fans and I am connected with them. I really request everyone to be calm and composed and give us privacy. Please support me in whatever I am doing and support Eijaz also and let peace be there. Whatever happens, it happens for a reason. I am really keen and focused towards my career right now. I've just lost my father, he was my biggest support. Ek Maa mamta hoti hai, Baap Deewar hota hai, Mamta se peit nahi palta, aur Deewar se security, protection sab hai. I have an elder sibling also, but he considers me as his mother and for me he is like my baby. I am the responsible one right now in my family. I am taking a few steps which are necessary for my family and myself. I am sure you guys will also understand and love that."

In the recent Bigg Boss 17 episode, Aishwarya Sharma and Neil Bhatt had a major rift during the captaincy task. Aishwarya said, “I told you don’t let me go first to check the apples, I approved their boxes but Ankita fooled us. If Neil hadn’t forced me to go first, we would have won the task. I hate how Ankita acts, she’s so fake.” Neil calms her down and asks her not to cry. He says, “It’s okay now, leave it. Stop dwelling over these things, it will be alright.”

While Aishwarya broke down in tears, Neil tried to comfort her, but she refrained and said, "Don’t do this to me, don’t touch me at the moment. It feels like you manhandle me and I hate it. I know you love me a lot and can’t see me like this but I don’t like certain things pls understand." Neil then apologised to her and requested her to calm down.

In the recent episode, Big B shared an intriguing anecdote from the shooting of the film Parichay, he said, "I connect the songs to my yesteryears and where, when I heard it, what I was doing? I was fortunate that Mr Jeetendra and his family while this film was being made, we used to visit often during the shooting, even today we meet and greet each other. So that's how we are connected."

A source close to BT shared that there shall be 4 new wildcard contestants in Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa 11, “Social media influencer and dancer Awez Darbar, and playback singer Nikhita Gandhi have also been roped in to compete for the wildcard spot on the show. Manisha Rani of Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame, too, is confirmed on the list. Some of them have started rehearsing for their performances.”

In ETimes TV's exclusive segment Tellyblazer, Teri Meri Doriyaann's Sahiba aka Himanshi Parashar got candid about her struggling days, she shared, "There have been days when, initially the agency I was with gave me small assignments and I waited for good projects. But nothing good was coming up. After a month of waiting, I got extremely stressed as living in Mumbai, affording the house rent is expensive."

She further shared, "Around this time my payment was delayed for more than three months and I had Rs 700 in my account and 500 in my pocket. I started doing catalogue shoots and other stuff. I remember facing a financial crisis for even buying shampoo and conditioners. Which one should I buy? I bought small pouches, instead of buying a bottle. I bought them because I was so short of money. And that day that power of manifestation you have that I was like today I am buying this pouch. But one day I will be talking about this incident with my friends and family and see how my journey went. So it is the manifestation."

Actress Shrenu Parikh is now married and her dreamy wedding pictures just can’t be missed. Shrenu tied the knot with Akshay Mhatre today, December 21 and the couple had a grand wedding in Vadodara. All the wedding functions were just like a fairytale. Be it her grand haldi, sangeet, engagement or live music dayro.

Sheezan Khan had quit the TV show Chand Jalne Laga in less than a month. The actor was cast as the parallel lead in the show opposite Kanika Mann, he shared, “I was promised the role of the parallel lead, but it was later reduced to just another character. I had no choice but to quit the show. I am now looking for a role that will do justice to my talent. As an actor, the factors governing my choices include substantial screen time and a performance-oriented role.”

ETimes TV had exclusively revealed that the show wrapped in just three months. In an exclusive conversation with BT, Amandeep Sidhu who played Siya in the show shared, "Our show did not get the desired viewership. Secondly, the script changed. We tried to deviate from Season 1's script, but when we did not get good ratings, we moved back to the original script. The show had good actors like Karanvir Bohra and Dheeraj Dhoopar, but somehow it did not click with the audiences."

Priyanka Chahar recently took to her Instagram handle to share a glimpse of the reading session of her upcoming project. The video revealed that she is collaborating with none other than Tusshar Kapoor. Priyanka wrote, "Reading upcoming project." She also shared a glimpse of their shooting set.

Twinkle Vashisht from Kundali Bhagya had the most dreamy proposal, the actress got engaged to her boyfriend Harsh Tuli. The actress exclusively shared with BT, "Harsh and I travelled to Jaipur with some of my Kundali Bhagya friends for a music festival. Yesterday, my friends arranged a treasure hunt which led to Harsh proposing to me with an engagement ring. I was surprised and on the top of the world. I had always wanted an official proposal and an engagement ring. It was a very emotional moment and my friends Akanksha Juneja and Ira Soni also helped a lot. They are my buddies from the show."

When Ayesha Khan entered the Bigg Boss 17 house as the wild card contestant, she made a shocking revelation that Munawar had proposed to her and he had broken up with Nazila Sitaishi. Nazila took to her Instagram handle to clarify, she mentioned, "I was not aware of Ayesha and Munawar being together, I was being told a completely different story and I was made to believe that I was the only person in his life, I was the only female he was in love with but it was not true and there were a lot of other girls involved that I don't want to talk about. I believe these things are personal and should stay personal. If Ayesha was the only person involved in this I would consider forgiving but she isn't. I wish people knew what went down off-camera, clearly they don't and I want people to stop paying attention. I have nothing to do with Munawar after watching the episode."

In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV after elimination, Bigg Boss 17's Khanzaadi got candid about her bond with Abhishek Kumar, she shared, "I don’t have hatred or enmity towards anyone. Calling someone my enemy is a big thing, it is a big word. I had my differences with Abhishek, we fought a lot but we shared a great friendship also. I feel, end tak joh saath rehta hai wohi dost hota hai and I feel Abhishek was there for me till the end of my journey. He is a true friend to me."

Taarak Mehta's Sonu aka Palak Sindhwani had shared a picture from Dilip Joshi's son's pre-wedding ceremony where the whole cast of the show was invited with their spouses and family members. One of the clicks that left the fans overjoyed was the ladies of Taarak Mehta posing with OG Dayaben aka Disha Vakani and her daughter.
