From Namita Thapar saying 'Toxicity is out for good' to Anupam Mittal's 'Founders were humiliated last season'; comments made on Ashneer Grover's absence from Shark Tank India 2

With the second season of Shark Tank India, more than the judges Ashneer Grover has been in buzz for his absence and in a podcast, Namita Thapar, Anupam Mittal and other Sharks had their reactions to his exit from the show. Here's what they had to say about Ashneer Grover's stint in Shark Tank 1 and what makes the new season different after his exit:

Amit Jain isn't filling the dramatic shoes

Talking about replacing Ashneer Grover, CarDekho CEO Amit Jain says there is nothing like walking in the dramatic shoes. While Anupam adds, 'Amit isn't writing a book after this.'

I don't think Shark Tank is a personal brand-building place: Peyush Bansal

The biggest brands in the world have not been built by the founders. I don't think Shark Tank is a personal brand-building place, of course, it has an impact but all of them have a negative side too. Anupam quips, 'We have already seen an example' to which Peyush continues that he doesn't want to comment on that. He continues, you are coming to Shark Tank for a very different reason, you meet the entrepreneurs and make investments. There is surely an impact but it may be good or bad, nothing is constant.

Namita Thapar: The toxicity is out for good

When asked what makes Season 2 of Shark Tank India better, Namita said, 'Season 2 mein the toxicity is out for good.' hinting at Ashneer Grover's exit from the show.

5/7

The entrepreneurs were humiliated last season: Anupam Mittal

Anupam Mittal shares his take on the new season and says 'In the last season, the entrepreneurs were humiliated, this time you will not get to see that.' Every Shark Tank viewer knows who Anupam hinted at from the previous season. 'Instead, there are more fights amongst the Sharks for good pitches', Anupam added. Why should we insult the founders, they must be respected for their innovation and business.

I am going to miss Ashneer Grover: Vineeta Singh

In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV, Vineeta was asked about her take on Ashneer's exit and she shared, “I am going to miss Ashneer Grover, I think he was good. But whatever happened was between him and the channel. The show is not going to have any impact. I feel season 2 is going to be phenomenal. And I believe that ‘The Show Must Go On’.”

Ashneer Grover's reaction to Namita's comment

In a recent podcast with the students of IIT Kharagpur, Ashneer was asked about Namita's comment on 'No toxicity' in season 2. To which Ashneer had a savage reply, he said, "See, I didn't even mention Namita once. There’s a reason for that; I don’t miss her. But she misses me. She can call it whatever she likes, but she is missing me."
