Salman Khan's appearance on the premiere episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 was nothing short of a laughter riot. From poking fun at his brother Sohail Khan’s separation with Seema, opening up about his personal health struggles, to joking about his dislike for selfies, the Bollywood superstar brought his trademark wit and honesty to the stage. Navjot Singh Sidhu praised Salman’s father and his upbringing. While praising Salim Khan, Sidhu said that the last time Salim Khan graced the episode, it was like an education for him. He stated, “Lekin baap woh hota hai jiska beta usse bada hota hai. Aapne Salim sahab ki parvarish unse 10 guna zyaada naam kama ke unke naam ko chaar chand laga diye.” However, Salman disagreed with Sidhu and mentioned how he would have to be reborn 5-6 times as his son than it might be possible. "I’ve still got a lot to achieve,” he said. The superstar then joked what’s more difficult is maintain the name after losing it, reclaiming it and repeating the cycle. Kapil Sharma asks Salman about his marriage plans. Giving Aamir Khan’s example on how he recently introduced his girlfriend to the media, Kapil tried to coax Salman to open up about his relationships and also settled down. However, Salman Khan’s hilarious comeback on Aamir’s relationship left everyone in splits of laughter including the host. Kapil asks, "Aamir bhai just introduced his girlfriend to the media, he's not stopping and you are not doing." Salman responds, "Aamir Khan is an outstanding personality. Honestly, Aamir stands in a league of his own. The world knows him as a perfectionist. So, until he achieves perfection in marriage, he won't stop. Kapil playfully teases Salman Khan, asking if he feels upset that his brother Arbaaz is now following in Aamir Khan’s footsteps. He also jokes that while Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have their own "Gauris" in life, Salman still doesn’t have one. Salman responds saying, "He doesn't have one." The Sultan actor shares his thoughts on marriage and divorces. He says, "The thing is ek patience, woh jhagde, ek husband-wife ek dusre ke liye sacrifice karte the, tolerance ka factor hai that's missing. Ab raat ko ek taang aajaye, Kharate liye jaate hain, choti si baaton par misunderstanding par divorce hojaata hai aur phir divorce toh chalo hogaya, woh aadhe paise bhi leke chali jaati hain." Further commenting on how he has worked hard in his career despite several injuries and illness, Salman added, "Hum ye jo daily ki haddiyan tudwa rahe hain, pasliyan toot gai, trigeminal neuralgia ke sath kaam kar rahe hain, aneurysm hai brain mein uske bawajood kaam kar rahe hain. (I'm out here breaking my bones every day — ribs are fractured, I'm working despite having trigeminal neuralgia, there's an aneurysm in the brain, yet I'm still working). Salman Khan revealed stories of how his friends stayed back home after parties. He shared, "Like I have one friend Avinash Gowarikar. He came at our house and said he was moving out of a rented apartment and just needed place to stay for a couple of months. So we told him stay come home. He stayed for about two years. So, one day, we asked him when does he plan to go back and he was looking out for a place so what happened to it. He said, "I found a place just 15 days after I moved in here and I have rented it out."

Salman responded with a witty comeback, bringing Avinash into the joke for added fun, but still made sure to take a playful dig at his brother. Responding to Kapil's question of having several girlfriends, Salman said, "Not true, If you look at my average, it comes out to be very poor. Yes, I'm 59 right now, I mean I've just had three or four girlfriends. So if you consider all that my relationships have lasted for seven to twelve years. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor reacted and shared, "Earlier there were a few, but not anymore. Well if you consider this a downside, that I can't step outside freely, but then I don't have all this as well. As it is I don't go anywhere, so I would rather prefer this. I didn't like going anywhere with family because someone would start trouble, poke around, or something would go wrong, so I stopped going out. I do what I want at home with friends and family." During the episode, Salman Khan also talked about how he hates going out for family dinners. He said, "Sir I don't get the idea of candlelight dinners. I get sleepy. There there is a trend of selfies. You're trying to eat, and someone sticks a camera in your face. You are chilling with your sisters, or friends, and they're clicking photos from down below. Why indulge in these things, this is who I am. There are other problems like if someone is unwell, I can't visit them in the hospital. Timing is something you need to be mindful of.
