From her grandfatherbeing the legendary comedian Thengai Srinivasan to her mother being against her acting career; Bigg Boss 18's Shrutika Arjun makes shocking revelations about her family

Shrutika Arjun entertained her fans in Bigg Boss 18, the actress recently had a fun podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa where she got candid about her family background, how she met her husband and more. Here's what she had to share:

When I was 16, I had done 4 films as a heroine, but all of them were flops. My granddad was a legendary comedian in the Tamil Industry. His name is Thengai Srinivasan. He has done more than 900 films, he has been extremely famous and has worked with all South stalwarts. But he passed away when I was only a month old, he suffered from a brain haemorrhage. I was spotted at a restaurant when I was 16 and I was offered my first acting job.

I always wanted to get married, when I was 18, I used to tell my father that get me married. But as I was good in studies, I was a gold medalist in Under Graduation, so my father pushed me to do MBA. That is where I met Arjun.

Arjun had randomly texted me on Facebook thinking I was a big actress but that wasn't true. But gradually fell in love and we decided to get married during my MBA. But now the life is amazing. Arjun is 4 and a half years older than me. He was in a different college.

I was a district level swimmer, so I was really tanned. Adding my mother didn't want me to go into the film Industry, so she never let me go for dance classes or anything. Neither would she let me wear makeup. I used to look so bad when I had gotten the initial films. They would put a lot of makeup on my face and I didn't even know how to dance.

When I had gone to meet Arjun for the first time, I had made a lot of effort. I would usually stay boyish, but to meet him I had worn a pretty dress and got a blowdry. So my mom had gotten suspicious, she had asked our driver to keep an eye on me. Arjun had called me to meet him at a 5-star, so I took a friend of mine with me and we were stunned because everyone out there was greeting Arjun. Later, I came to know that his grandfather was Chennai's collector.
