Ashneer Grover, who came to the limelight through his TV debut as a judge in Shark Tank India, doesn’t fail to make headlines. The business tycoon stirred controversy in the recent past over several issues. He recently got trolled for joining Roadies 19 as a gang leader. The entrepreneur was also booked in an alleged Rs 81 crore fraud in Delhi along with his wife. Here’s a list of events when the Shark Tank India judge made headlines..

Ashneer Grover, who was earlier seen in Shark Tank India season one has joined the reality show Roadies 19 as a gang leader along side Prince Narula and Rhea Chakraborty. A recent promo showed a glimpse of the business tycoon in his new avatar for the show. However, it didn’t receive a pleasant response from the audience. Netizens were shocked to see him on the show and bombarded the comment section with hate messages. Users asked Ashneer, “Ye konse line me aagaye aap.”

Ashneer not being a part of Shark Tank India season 2 came out as a big shock to the audience as he was one of the most loved judge on the show. His brutally honest comment and one-liners received immense love from the audience. However, in an interview Ashneer revealed that once he got to know that he isn’t a part of the show in the season 2, he unfollowed all the remaining judges. He revealed that the only reason he did it was because he didn’t wanted to see what’s going on the show after he left.

The Economic Offences Wing (EPW) registered a fraud case against the Shark Tank India judge Ashneer and his wife Madhuri Jain. They have been allegedly booked for a scam worth Rs 81 crore. The complaint was against them for misusing company’s money through forged documents. However, he denied the all the claims.

In an interview, Ashneer revealed that he rejected Virat Kohli for a recent campaign. Further he confirmed that the cricketer quoted a whopping amount. However, he rejected him and got the remaining eleven players of the Indian Cricket Team in half the amount quoted by Virat Kohli. He added, “Maine bola chalo, Virat Kohli ko le lete hain, aur usne ek amount boli. Abhi bolunga nahi, Virat Kohli bura maan jayega. Phir bola ke Anushka ko bhi saath mein le lo. Maine bola maine kaunse Mayavar ke lehenge pehnane hain aur sherwani bechni hai, woh Manyavar waalon ne kar liya hai. Maine bola koi aur player bata, woh bolta hai ke uske baad kisi ki aukaat hi nahi hai. Maine kaha ek kaam kar, jitne ka tu mujhe Kohli bech raha tha na, usko divide by two kar, aur iss number pe mujhe baaki 11 player laa de. Aur maine wohi deal kari phir, 11 player liye, Kohli divided by two ke number pe.”

Namita and Ashneer have had an on-going verbal spat on the internet or in the interviews. It started with Namita, in an interview saying that the toxicity is out from season 2 with many believing that the comment was for Ashneer. Later, in another interview, Ashneer was asked about his response in the same. He said, “Namita is going everywhere and talking about me because maybe she misses me.. I don’t go around and talk about her so this question isn’t for me and you should rather ask her why she talks about me so much.”

On April 29, 2022 Ashneer was invited as a guest lecturer at a college. There he revealed that he had Rs 100 crore in the bank and he wanted to built a business out of it. He further confirmed that he wanted Salman Khan as a brand ambassador who’s manager offered Rs 7.5 crore for the deal. However, surprisingly the actor agreed to do it in Rs 4.5 crore. Ashneer even revealed that Salman’s manager then taunted him saying, “Sir aap bhindi kharidne aaye ho kya, kitni mandawali karoge.” (Sir, have you come to buy vegetables, how much will you negotiate).

Another time when the Shark Tank India judge made headlines was through his condition on participating in Bigg Boss. He revealed that he was approached for the show but he disagreed to do it. Further he revealed he will do the show only if he is offered more money than Salman Khan. He added, “There was a time when I used to watch the show, but I feel it’s become stale now. They approached me, I said sorry, it's not happening.”
