From Bigg Boss 17 to Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa: A look at upcoming new TV shows on small screens

In the upcoming months, we will get to see some dramatic and mind-blowing new TV shows. The audience will definitely be hooked to the screens as we will have Bigg Boss 17 returning to the small screen with new twists and turns while for the ladies there will be Masterchef India and other new serials which will keep them busy. However, for those who are interested in watching their favourite actors dancing on screen then what better than the channel is bringing back the famous dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.

Here are some new upcoming shows on TV:

Indian Idol 14's credo 'Ek Awaaz, Laakhon Ehsaas' is sure to resonate with audiences; this season will see people with stories that provide entertainment intrigue, and motivation as they try to impress the judges with their singing talent. The 14th season will be judged by Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Kumar Sanu, in addition, the host of the show Hussain Kuwajerwala will entertain us. It premieres from October 7.

The much-awaited show Bigg Boss 17 is all set to arrive on television with none other than host Salman Khan on October 15. This time the show is all set to bring chills as it will be a living hell for all of the contestants staying inside the Bigg Boss’s house. As this time, the show aired a promo with Salman Khan discussing the reality show. The celebrity host disclosed the game's inspiration, 'Dil, Dimag aur Dum.' Bigg Boss 17 contestants include Isha Malviya, Kunwar Dhillon, Ankita Lokhande, Surbhi Jyoti, and Aishwarya Sharma. Abhishek Malhan and Manisha Rani, who appeared on BB OTT 2, may possibly make an appearance. Other names that came up included Rishabh Jaiswal, Rhea Chakraborty, and others. However, official confirmation of the contestants has yet to be released. Recently, there was another promo where we got a sneak peek into the house decor for the upcoming season, netizens are quite excited to see the new season’s house theme.

Masterchef India is another reality show which is related to food. Here, people from around India come with their dream to become the winner of Masterchef and showcase their delicious food dishes in the show. This time Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar will be joined by celebrity chef Pooja Dhingra for the upcoming season. The judges shared pictures from the set and stated that they had begun shooting for the show.

Shark Namita Thapar shared a picture from the set showing that they have started shooting for the third season of Shark Tank India. Namita shared a post on her Instagram and wrote, “Lights Camera Sharks The Shark Tank India Season 3 shoot begins! We welcome the Sharks @anupammittal.me, @boatxaman, @namitathapar, @vineetasng, and @amitjain_cardekho for the first schedule. Stay tuned for more Shark reveals and exciting updates!” Further, the official page of Shark Tank India on Instagram shared the shark's revealing video and welcomed the new Shark Ritesh Agarwal on the show. The post said, “Shark Reveal!! Welcoming our new Shark Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO, of OYO Rooms, to Shark Tank India. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!”

This new show is all set to make its first appearance on television on the channel. It introduces the viewers to the fearless little girl Arya. In the trailer for this high-octane action movie, Arya Dabangii faces hardships while longing to reunite with her father. But she is unaware that she is the child of a goon Satya, which her mother, Chhaya, does not want her daughter to discover. Aamir Dalvi as Satya, Sai Deodhar as Chhaya and Arya is played by Maahi Bhadra in the upcoming show.

Everyone’s favourite dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is coming back with its 11th season and this time there are reports that Farah Khan and Malaika Arora will be judging the show. However, Bombay Times confirmed that Arshad Warsi will return to the small screen as judge 6 years after Bigg Boss 1 and Zara Nachke Dikha. TV actors like Shoaib Ibrahim, Shivangi Joshi, Karuna Pandey, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, and Manisha Rani are said to be the contestants of the 11th season.

Nishant Malkhani, Rakesh Paul, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan and Isha Sharma are going be a part of the upcoming show Pashmina which is based in Kashmir. 'Pashminna - Dhaage Mohobbat Ke,' is a gripping love story. This intriguing story unfolds against the breathtaking backdrop of Kashmir's entrancing valley, engaging viewers in the magnificence of the region. We will also get to see Hiten and his wife Gauri once again together on screen after Kutumb. The show will air in October.

'Chand Jalne Laga' depicts childhood sweethearts Dev and Tara, played by Vishal Aditya Singh and Kanika Mann, who are separated by fate and set in a vineyard. With the release of a musical promo, their love tale confronts hurdles. Vishal is excited to see how the audience reacts to his performance, while Kanika hopes that people connect with her character.

The show stars Avinesh Rekhi and Tanisha Mehta as lead pairs. A close source from the makers team told Bombay Times, “The show set against the backdrop of Punjab is tentatively titled Ikk Kudi Punjab Di. Avinesh will be seen donning the Sikh look yet again. He has been loved as Sarabjit and we aspire to recreate the magic of our last show with him. While he has been locked, the casting of the female protagonist and other principal characters is underway. Once everything is in place, we plan to commence the shoot by mid-September.”

One of the top channels on TV announces a new show, Chiranjeevi Hanuman. The epic story chronicles Ram's attempt to save Sita from Ravana's grasp with the support of the heroic Hanuman, with the presentation focusing on Lord Hanuman's trek. It is a historical drama that will remind viewers of the beauty of the personalities and the tale.

Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta, two famous actors and actresses, produced this series. Dalchini's show will be about a Punjabi girl and a family drama. In this show, the actress will be seen in an entirely different outfit. However, the names of the actors have not yet been published.

Waseem Mushtaq, who was last seen in the TV show Spy Bahu, has joined the cast of the upcoming show Aangan Apno Ka. Waseem told IANS, “It is my comeback to screens after more then a year. I have finally taken up a show and the primary reason for doing the show is the strong content in the storyline and amazing characterisation by the makers of the show. I will essay Varun, a guy of today’s generation who has gray shades. I feel when the audience will watch me on the screen, they will easily relate to him. I’m excited and looking forward to this new journey.”
