Dev Joshi was seen playing the lead character of the TV show Balveer in 2012. He was only 12 when he was offered the role. The show became very popular at the time and Dev Joshi became a household name. His fun banter with Anushka Sen in the TV show was also quite loved.

Dev Joshi also played the lead character in a Gujarati movie. The actor amazed fans with his role of lord Swaminarayan in the Divine Biography of Lord Swaminarayan "PURN PURSHOTTAM SHRI SWAMINARAYAN BHAGWAN.” His acting chops were praised by the audience.
