From Abhishek Malhan on becoming the first finalist to Mahesh Bhatt's revelations about daughter Pooja: Major highlights from Bigg Boss OTT 2 this week

This week of Bigg Boss OTT 2 has been quite overwhelming and hectic for the contestants in the house. From meeting their family members in the house after a long time to winning the race for a ticket to the finale to Abhishek Malhan becoming the last captain of the house. Here are the highlights from the entire week of the show Bigg Boss OTT 2:

Avinash’s mother enters the house which makes Avinash emotional. Avinash hugs his mom tightly. She also showed her warm gesture to Pooja Bhatt which made the fans happy to see it. Pooja was happy to meet Avinash's mom and his mom’s gestures left her emotional. Pooja even told Avinash’s mom that she will visit her house for lunch.

During the nomination task, Jiya along with Jad Hadid were arguing over the former choosing Abhishek over Avinash. Jiya told Jad that she nominated Avinash instead of Abhishek because she finds him competitive. Jiya added, “I have come to this term because in future while playing the game having Avinash beside me is dangerous and I find us both similar on the level. But when it comes to Abhishek if I am next to him then Abhishek would win and I would lose. Therefore, I think for my future game I will like to choose Avinash and save Abhishek.”

Pooja Bhatt discusses her lowest period in life with Jiya Shankar. She reveals that following her divorce from her ex-husband, Pooja described it as the lowest period in her life. Pooja added, “Frankly if you ask me Jiya, the lowest point of my life was when I divorced my husband of 11 years and it was totally my decision. I couldn’t lie to myself as I didn’t feel like continuing it. I said that I wanted to live my life with comfort or keep my 10 to 11 years old relationship and my husband was not a bad person. Everything that was there between us was there and then. But then I thought that I had lost myself and it was not for somebody else or the betterment of life. I wanted myself back but what did I do after that to hide my pain when it’s an 11-year-old relationship? It was called off suddenly and it felt like death but people ask if you are ok and people prefer you say so. And later you go and hide behind alcohol because the bottle delivers. Then I thought that I wanted to set myself free and find myself but I drilled myself more into bad zone. So that phase in my life was the lowest phase of my life. I pushed myself to the bottom of the pool and suddenly one survivor's instinct crept in and I clawed my way out and I said nahi boss I am not giving up on myself.”

Mahesh Bhatt spoke about his difficult times, recalling how his films were not doing well at the time and how his daughter Pooja played an important role in helping the family during those difficult years. Mahesh shared, “Pooja's mother had taken her to see if the little girl could get any modelling projects and she got her first ad. It was for a soap and Pooja got Rs 3000 for the picture and Rs 300 for the newspaper ad. Bachpan mein isne humara ghar chalaya hai jab mere paas kuch nahi tha.”

Mahesh spoke about Pooja’s angry face, he shared, “When she was born and I went to the hospital, her mother said, 'Have you seen her?' I went to see Pooja. She was in a glass incubator weighing 10 pounds and her face was all pink but her expression was angry and that never changed. All of us have been afraid of her since she was a little girl.”

During the family week, even Jad got a video call from his daughter Cattleya and the actor broke down in tears. Jad shared, “You would not believe but when I heard the laugh I knew it was Catteleya’s laugh. I knew it was her laugh. Thank you so much Bigg Boss, this is the best gift I have ever seen so far She has grown up I couldn’t believe if I could cry or laugh at the same time.”

After Jiya and Jad had an argument during the nomination task, Jad denies to eat rotis made by Jiya. He asks Bebika to help him out here and make his share of rotis. Jad tells Avinash Sachdev, “Wooohhh cheap… can it get anything cheaper than this. This is a piece of sh*t attitude. If she acts like this then nobody is going to work with her outside with this behaviour and ungrateful personality.”

Pooja Bhatt confesses that she urged Mahesh Bhatt to speak with Sunny Leone in BB 5 so that she could cast her in Jism. Pooja shared, “You know interestingly my father is coming for the second time in the Bigg Boss house. The first time, he had come when Sunny Leone was in season 5 of Bigg Boss. So that time I wanted to cast her for my film Jism 2. That time I couldn’t wait for 6 months to know if she is interested or not to work in my film. She had never worked in films before. So I told him that you will have to go because he can tell in 2 seconds if the person is capable of acting in the film or not. He specially came to Bigg Boss to meet her. He informed her that Pooja is making a film so are you interested in working with her? So she said yes and we did it.”

Pooja Bhatt is dissatisfied with Abhishek Malhan's performance in the mission. She is concerned because Abhishek has lost his cool yet again and has spoken unacceptable things to everybody on her team. Pooja Bhatt sobs in front of Avinash Sachdev and Bebika Dhurve. Pooja shared, “What is a win and who decides it? Yes one person can handle the trophy but it doesn’t means that the other 5 have lost the game. Yes, it was a task given to us but Bigg Boss had given me a choice to conceive the game and I should have conceived it. My point is that I can lose with grace but as far as Abhishek is concerned despite everything that has happened I have always looked at him and seen a zeal to win. Do you think I was manipulated when I gave the apples no why would I do it? I am not upset I just don’t understand. This is not the world there are other worlds too and don’t want to be a part of such a world. I will stand by a loser. I never follow winners blindly nor do I stand with them. And I am not gonna change myself. I stand with people for what they are.”

Avinash Sachdev and Abhishek Malhan argue on the punishment task. Avinash meets Pooja Bhatt sneakily and informs her that he is doing so on purpose in order to cause a disruption in his leadership. Avinash tells Pooja, “Maam, Maam Can I tell you something, mein maan raha hoon par mein uske raaste ka kaata ban raha hoon simple in one line. When he took my name I had no problem with it but when he started arguing and whatever he said till now is when I thought of not giving in and saying yes for the punishment. And I wanted him to speak rubbish.”

Pooja Bhatt and Abhishek Malhan get into a game for becoming the first finalist and the last captain. After Pooja loses the game, Bigg Boss announces Abhishek as the last captain of Bigg Boss OTT 2 and the first finalist to enter the finale.
