Exclusive - Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's Rohit Purohit: Valentine’s Day is just about love at home; Sheena and Aarush are my world now
Talented actor Rohit Purohit, who is currently seen Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been winning hearts as Armaan Poddar. In an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, Rohit shares his Valentine’s Day plans after becoming a father.
Speaking about what Valentine's Day personally means to him as the day celebrates couples, Rohit said, "For me, Valentine’s Day is just about love at home. Sheena and Aarush are my world now. Even sitting together and having a quiet meal feels special.”
Rohit and Sheena were in a relationship for several years before getting married in 2019. The actor also shared whether he views Valentine’s Day as pressure, a celebration, or just another regular day — and whether his view on it has changed over the years. "When I was younger, I used to plan big things. Now, I don’t feel any pressure. Life has changed. After marriage and becoming a father, you understand love in a different way. It’s in the small things.”
He was asked how the perfect romance shown on screen compares to his real-life idea of love. Rohit said, "On-screen, everything looks perfect. In real life, it’s not like that. Love is about adjusting, talking things out, and standing by each other. That matters more than big moments.”
The actor shared that he prefers to keep celebrations low-key, revealing, "I keep it simple. If I get time off and can be at home with my family, that’s enough for me.”
He also revealed the qualities he values most in his partner today, compared to when he first started his career, he said, "Earlier I didn’t think so deeply about it. Now I value trust and understanding the most. Marriage and a child teach you a lot. You need to be a team.”
