On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, TV celebs share how they are going to celebrate the day with their siblings. Devoleena Bhattacharjee

My younger brother Andeep Bhattacharjee is in Assam as of now. I'm really missing him and my mom the most. We celebrate Rakhi to Ganpati all together. But this year, I'm going to be alone. We’ll absolutely celebrate the occasion virtually on a video call. But my Rakhi Gift won’t be virtual as once the pandemic is over, I will have it! As a sibling, we have lots of memory from sibling fights to helping and supporting during every up and down. We are each other’s big support.

This Rakhi I'm going to miss my sisters, as we won’t be meeting. Else for us, its always had been a unique celebration.. We all tie Rakhi to our dad and that's the way it has been since childhood. He is the one who has protected us and loved us unconditionally always. He has always motivated and guided us. The festival holds a very special place in my heart. I remember we all sisters use to make greeting cards for our dad and use to get into sibling love fight for being the best...

Roop Durgapal

Due to Covid-19, travelling is very difficult. I will celebrate rakhi online through video call this year like we have observed many other celebrations. My sister is very special to me. I'm missing her and my nephew.

Raksha Bandhan is very special to me and my sisters. My sisters mean everything to me. We are really protective of each other. I turn to them for advice on everything. At times we actually irritate each other. They are just like my best friends. I pray for their growth and health. And I really miss them as I am in Mumbai now and couldn't travel for long. We will enjoy our day on video calls.

Mitaali Nag

Though I don’t have a real brother, God has blessed me with many cousins and rakhi brothers, who fill that space in my life. Since the time I have moved to Mumbai, I would celebrate Raksha Bandhan sometimes in Nagpur as all my cousins are there and sometimes here in Mumbai with my Rakhi brothers. This time the plan was to travel to Nagpur. However, due to the pandemic situation, I won’t be able to do that. I wouldn’t be able to meet my brothers in Mumbai. So this year the Rakhis would reach all of them by courier and we shall celebrate it via video call. It’s going to be an experience of its own! I am going to miss meeting them in person. Hopefully, we will make up for it once everything becomes normal.

Puru Chibber

My sister, Ira Chibber is just like me. We understand each other like anything. Like I could never keep any secrets… don’t know how she would find out all. And I don’t feel like hiding anything from her. She is very beautiful and makes my life beautiful. When you have such a sister you just don’t need a friend.. Since childhood, we are each other’s support system. We stay together so yes, we will celebrate the festival.

Muskaan Mihani

I always enjoy Indian festivals. Raksha Bandhan is always special as I have a younger brother Vishal Mihani, and sister Rishika Mihani. It’s special and ever since I got married I would go back to my parents’ home and tie him a Rakhi. I always buy his favourite milk cake. I’m blessed to have him because he is a very responsible brother and moreover a responsible son. The way he looks after my parents, I'm thankful to him. This is what any girl seeks from his brother. I remember during childhood days he would save money and buy me presents and I would feel so special. Imagine your younger brother saving the whole month and buying you your favourite gifts. And nothing has changed today.

Kunal Singh

I have one elder sister. Her name is Priyanka Singh… she is now married and is in USA.. Raksha Bandhan is always special for us. We have many fond memories of childhood. We used to enjoy a lot fighting and playing together. She was the one who supported me when I moved to Mumbai for acting career. She is very kind and beautiful soul and is my life. I’ll definitely miss her and enjoy our video call on the day. She has sent me Rakhi for the year.
