Popular actor Pearl V Puri, who returned to the small screen with Brahmarakshas 2, recently went through a difficult phase in his personal life when his father passed away.
The actor was shooting in Mumbai when he learnt the news of his father's untimely demise and rushed to his hometown, Agra. Pearl's journey on the show has been quite emotional as he resumed shooting after a few days of the tragic incident.
Talking about coping up with the loss of his father and managing the shoots, the actor said, "It has been very difficult.
Being an actor, it is very difficult to control our emotions and portray something else. There are many times when we actors are crying from within but we can't show it to the outside world. We are entertainers and our job is to keep people happy. We have to forget our pain, sorrow and entertain others. All these sometimes take a toll on you mentally, it is traumatic or starts affecting you adversely. It is a task to cope up. The loss I have gone through is irreplaceable and I can't say when I will be able to overcome this pain. I don't think this place can be filled and there will be a void always now. I take inspiration from my fans who have seen tough times more than me and have gone through immense pain. There are many who have lost their parents but they are still fighting their battles. I feel God has given me this medium to spread positivity and smile with my work."
The actor has shifted his mother to Mumbai and she is currently living with him, "I had to be strong at home. I had to be strong for my mother. I have got my mom for good. I have got her here and she is staying with me now. It is a very difficult phase of life and I don't want anyone to go through it. But I know this is how life is, that we lose dear ones at some point. Nobody can take the person's place and the loss is irreplaceable. I am trying my best to keep my mom happy and divert her mind towards good things. I am actually living for her. I just want to work and keep her happy. After a point, parents start living for their kids, they stop seeing dreams. They don't aspire to own big houses, clothes or cars. Their only dream is that their kids are happy and successful. So, now I am living her dreams," he said.

Pearl, who has previously been part of successful shows like Badtameez Dil, Naagin 3, Bepanah Pyaar amongst others now aims to work in Bollywood as that is his mother's dream, "Till now I was living for myself, but now I am living for her. Now, I want to do films. My mother has not seen films in the last 10 years, only for the reason that when I become a film star she will watch my films in theatre. I want her to go in theatre and watch my film. I am trying for films and my aim will be to make her proud," shared the actor.
