Exclusive- Mangal Lakshmi's Arshiya Sharma on her participation in America's Got Talent: At first we thought it was fake when they contacted us

The young Indian dancer's energetic dance performances shocked both fans and judges on America's Got Talent (AGT). The child dancer received a standing ovation during a recent AGT 2024 show. Arshiya Sharma, a Jammu resident, recently shared a video of her AGT dance performance on Instagram.

Arshiya Sharma captivates audiences with her gymnastic prowess. Arshiya stands before the judges at the beginning of the video. She introduced herself by saying, "I am from Jammu and Kashmir, India. I'm a dancer, but I don't want to be like the others. I want to be different. So I began to incorporate gymnastics and flexible skills into my dance to make it stand out."

In an exclusive conversation, Arshiya gets candid about her stint with AGT, her acting debut with Mangal Lakshmi and more.

How did America's Got Talent happen?

They emailed us after watching my old performances of Super Dancer Chapter 4 at first we thought it was fake but when they contacted us with the official email ID of America's Got Talent then we got to know it was real. After this, I sent them a lot of videos online and they sent us a letter of my selection.

Mangal Lakshmi is getting you a lot of love how do you feel about it?

This is my first show as an actor so I feel blessed that people have been liking me as an actor also. The experience is quite new to me and I am enjoying it.

Would you be taking up a new reality show?

Not so sure about it for now but if I will do any in the future I’ll let you know about it.




How is your equation with the co-actors of Mangal Lakshmi and who do you get along best with?

I am very lucky that I am working with so cool, entertaining, sweet, and experienced artists on Mangal Lakshmi we all are now like a big family we all enjoy a lot together. I have a great bond with everyone.
