Exclusive - Karan Kundrra on his journey: It feels unbelievable as I had no connection in the industry, was running a call centre in Punjab and suddenly got a call from Ekta Kapoor

Karan Kundrra, is back to hosting and is currently seen in dating reality show, Temptation Island India. The actor, who started his journey with Kitni Mohabbat Hai in 2009, has indeed come a long way in his career and has managed to stay relevant even after a decade. From hosting numerous reality series to starring in successful hit shows, Karan has always proved his mettle. However, acting and being a part of the showbiz industry was never a plan for Karan Kundrra and it happened accidently. I don’t let trolls interfere in our relationship. It can only affect me when I let them interfere in my matters. If you let it happen only then it will bother you. I can’t keep listening to everyone. Koi random insaan Kahin par baith ke bol raha hai why should I bother about it. That person doesn’t understand in life why we are happy together. It is their problem. If you can’t support your partner then who are you going to support? You create a world together and if you don’t have each other's back then there’s no point. Family, friends and your partner only these people are important to you. There are so many people in the world you can’t bother about everyone. Our culture is the same and we are here for each other. I am very proud of Thank You For Coming, a women centric film and it was a good topic. Anil Kapoor sir and I were just the boys in the film. Supporting the girls will also be a wrong word for that film. They don’t need our support. Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor ma’am, Bhumi, Shehnaaz and everybody, it was just fantastic. Ekta ma’am and Anil sir are very special to me and the moment I got the call, I agreed to do the film. I did not hear the subject completely and said yes. If someone has done something for me and when I get a chance to return the favour, I feel blessed. Good decision, it was a guest appearance and when I saw the product I felt well done. It feels unbelievable and I have a lot of gratitude for whatever I have today. This was in my destiny. I had absolutely no connection with the industry, was running a call centre in Punjab and suddenly Ekta ma’am was looking for a non-actor. She asked me to come to Mumbai and I decided to come here. I started my work here and during the initial one and two year, I was having a lot of fun and suddenly I realised arre nahi yaar ye toh Mazak Mazak mein career ban gaya. Earning money has never been a stress for me. Paisa Kamana toh main 16 saal ki Umar se he seekh gaya tha. I always had a backup plan. As an artist when you come with a backup plan and move ahead in your career with it then you are not a true artist. Then you are a jack of all trades and master of none. I am not saying I’m a master but there’s something special in every one which is God’s gift to you.
