Exclusive! I am a proud, happy, unmarried single mother today, says Splitsvilla X contestant Anmol Chaudhary

Anmol Chaudhary who was a contestant in the Splitsvilla's 10^th in 2017 season recently revealed on Instagram that she has a son. She updated her bio too saying she is an unmarried single mother.

Anmol had hidden her pregnancy from the world but now she is open about it and proud of her journey so far.

Anmol, who doesn’t want to reveal her boyfriend’s identity says that she was in a relationship for two years but things went downhill and they decided to split. Soon after she realised that she was pregnant. “That was in December 2019, when I missed my periods and realised that I was pregnant. I immediately decided that I wouldn’t keep the baby because it was not possible for me to manage a child that time. And that is what I told my boyfriend too. Then the doctor did an ultrasound but when I saw the heartbeat during that I started crying,” she says.

After the ultrasound Anmol got back home and was wondering what to do next. “I had planned to abort the child but I didn’t want to anymore. I was confused and was praying to God for guidance. I remember getting a call at that point and there was a kid’s voice on the other side. It was a wrong number but I just felt it was a sign; God wanted me to have my baby. My former lover was against it, but I was firm that I would go ahead with the pregnancy. My friends thought after a week or so, I would change my mind, but I didn’t,” she says.

Since it was a complicated situation, Anmol decided to keep it a secret. “I wanted to post pictures and tell the world that I am pregnant, but I didn’t do that. Only a few friends of mine knew about it. Even my parents weren’t aware; I didn’t tell them because I knew that they wouldn’t take it well,” she shares.

As a Splitsvilla contestant Anmol had become popular and got a massive following on social media. But during her pregnancy she was fat shammed by some. She says, “Since I had gained a lot of weight due to the pregnancy, some people started fat shamming me. I wanted to tell the world why I had gained weight, but I couldn’t. I needed to stay calm because it could affect my baby.”

Even though Anmol and her ex-boyfriend had started communicating she said that she didn’t get any concrete support. “I understood that I was on my own and had to do things myself. Even though he said he wanted to help, I felt those were just words because he was scared that I might reveal his identity,” she says.

Her younger sister has been a constant support, she says. “My sister was there with me during the delivery. My due date came but I wasn’t experiencing any pain and finally I had to go in for a C-section on 7^TH September 2020. Holding my son was the emotion I had never experienced in my entire life,” she says.

Talking about trying to co-parent with her ex-boyfriend she says, “I wanted the best for my baby and then we agreed to co-parent but we failed. But if he wants to connect with our son, I am fine with that. I don’t have a problem.”

Currently living in Noida with her sister and her baby, Anmol is loving this phase of her life. “I am breastfeeding my son and he doesn’t sleep without me. The way he laughs and the ways he connects with me are things which keep me going and make me stronger. I didn’t even know how to change diapers but my sister has been my rock throughout. I was nervous in the beginning but I realised that my son doesn’t have anyone apart from me in the world,” she shares.

Anmol says she wants to keep her son away from the emotional turmoil she has been through. She says,” I keep him so happy that he has turned out to be a child who loves playing with people. I want to set the right example for him and I want him to grow in a positive environment. He will be a year old soon,” she says.
