Exclusive - Has Palak Sindhwani aka Sonu from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah breached her contract; Neela Film Productions to issue a legal notice to the actress?

Palak Sindhwani, known for her role as Sonu Bhide in the long-running sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is reportedly in breach of her exclusive artist agreement with the production house. Industry sources have exclusively told ETimes TV that Neela Film Productions plans to send her a legal notice regarding this issue soon.

Sources close to the entertainment industry inform us that Neela Film Productions might issue a formal legal notice for breach of contract to an artist from their long-running series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It is rumoured that Palak Sindhwani, who plays ‘Sonu Bhide’, could be the one involved. Allegations suggest that she may have violated important terms of her exclusive artist agreement, causing considerable damage to her character, the show, the production company, and the broadcast platform.

The sources further revealed that the legal notice may be related to Palak Sindhwani engaging in third-party endorsements and appearances without obtaining the necessary written consent, as required by her contract. These actions appear to have violated the exclusivity clause and affected the character and the show. The production house is considering this step after previously warning the artist.

Palak Sindhwani, who portrays Sonu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, joined the show four years ago, stepping into the role previously held by Nidhi Bhanushali. She has successfully won over viewers and established a strong connection with the show's audience. Palak has built a close and friendly rapport with her co-stars, particularly with her on-screen parents, Sonalika and Mandar.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. It recently marked a significant milestone, celebrating 16 successful years. The star cast commemorated this achievement with a special celebration on the show’s sets.

When contacted, Palak Sindhwani said, "I don't know where this news is coming from as I have not received any legal notice so far."

The popular sitcom recently welcomed Indian wrestler and Paris Olympic medalist Aman Sehrawat, who joined the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities at the Gokuldham society. He even performed the first aarti as she started the Ganesh Utsav festivities. The entire cast and crew was present at the celebrations and were decked up in colourful traditional attires.
