Kashish Kapoor, who has been making headlines for her controversies in reality show Splitsvilla X5 recently gave an exclusive interview to TOI TV. The reality show star opened up about receiving death and ra*e threats. We revealed how she has filed a case against the trollers and has been finding it difficult to keep up with the hate. Here’s a look at the shocking revelations that she made:-

She said, “I never said I’m poor. I just come from a lower middle-class family where we have seen tough situations. Digvijay wasn’t really very close to me and would have chosen Unnati over me for the finale if given a chance. I did what I had to do but I never claimed to be poor. I know the decision I took for myself was right for me. But I did cause much collateral damage to the other person. I have a lot of guilt in me knowing I’ve hurt someone. I couldn’t sleep at night realising someone’s hurt because of me. I did try to speak to him and apologise for it.”

“On the show, not a single person blamed me for my act. In fact, they supported me and told me that even though it was wrong for Digvijay, u did the right thing for myself. However, their support changed with the wave of hate comments. Lakshay, who was friends with me until recently chose to unfollow me post-the grand finale.”

she addressed the hate comments and threats by saying, “Ever since the grand finale, I’ve been receiving immense hate and negativity on social media. According to the fans, because of me, their hero Digvijay couldn’t win but if their hero is such a mastermind and I manipulated him then I should be praised for using my brain. For once I understand the hate as it’s a consequence of my actions but I’ve been receiving ra*e and death threats on the internet. The harassment is just not it.”

She mentioned how she apologised to him several times in and out of the show. Kashish said, “I know the decision I took for myself was right for me. But I did cause much collateral damage to the other person. I have a lot of guilt in me knowing I’ve hurt someone. I couldn’t sleep at night realising someone’s hurt because of me. I did try to speak to him and apologise for it. I knew I had to make things right with Digvijay. It wasn’t easy, but I had to let him know how sorry I was.”

She said, “It’s been unbearable, and I don’t understand why people feel don’t like my decision but the threats aren’t justified. I never imagined that things would escalate to this level. I made a decision that I thought was best for me at that time, and it’s heartbreaking to see how it has led to such hate.”

Kashish revealed how she apologised to Digvijay in person at Sachin Sharma’s birthday party and they were then on cordial terms. However, after the show aired, things got worse. She said, “I know I’ve wronged someone. I do have my reasons but that doesn’t justify his loss. After the show, we met a few times but it was awkward. However, on Sachin’s birthday, I spoke to him and we sorted things out. To me, it looked like we were cordial but maybe we weren’t.”

Kashish revealed how many didn’t reach out to her but some did support her. She said, “I expected many of my friends from Splitsvilla to support me but that didn’t happen. Siwet called me up twice and so did harsh. They asked me if I was doing okay. Moreover, Shubhi even took to her broadcast channel to support me and that’s all I wanted.”

There have been rumours of Splitsvilla X5 fame Kashish Kapoor joining the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 18. Addressing the same, she said, "I’ve not been approached yet. But if given an opportunity, I’d love to do it. I’m always up for a challenge, and Bigg Boss would definitely be one of the biggest tests of my patience and resilience. It’s a platform that allows you to be yourself, and I think that’s something I’d excel at. I mean who wouldn’t want to be a part of such a big opportunity.”
