Exclusive - Diya Aur Baati Hum fame Vindhya Tiwari drops dreamy wedding photos with Ashish Lohra; says 'Chose Nov 25 to match Lord Ram and Sita ji’s wedding day'

Vindhya Tiwari, who has been part of shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Sasural Simar Ka, Naagin 2, and Kulfi Kumar Bajewala, among others, tied the knot with Ashish Lohra on November 25. In an exclusive conversation, Vidhya glowing and smiling and confessed that the world was still sinking into her skin as she woke up the first morning after the wedding. She called it a blessing from Lord Hanuman and shared that everything felt dreamlike. “It’s surreal. It’s beautiful. I think when I was not thinking about it (marriage), it just happened. It was my plan versus Hanumanji’s plan, and I always trust His plan more. It’s all blessings,” she said. (Photo: Instagram)

A believer in prayers and miracles, she confessed that every day in her life is exciting. "People say the initial phase is exciting, but I would defer. My life has always been exciting. My life is very magical. Whatever you feed inside yourself, things start happening like that only," she said. (Photo: Instagram)

But she was quick to mention that the first morning after the wedding, she did wake up half-confused and half-enchanted. “I woke up with this chuda and mehendi, and on my right I saw my husband. I realized, 'Okay, so I have someone in my room now.' It’s just sinking in. I think it’ll take a little time," she said. (Photo: Instagram)

And she is enjoying the post-wedding rituals as well. With a big smile she shared, "My in-laws gave me a wallet full of coins. Imagine what I did—I didn’t leave a single sikka in the wallet! They were shocked. I got everything out. My father-in-law and mother-in-law were so happy. And I was happy too that I could finish the game." (Photo: Instagram)

Vindhya went on to share that it's not just the post-wedding rituals that she is enjoying, but even when the wedding was happening, everything happened smoothly. She said, "Nobody was taking stress. Everybody was enjoying it. The food was awesome—people were eating six, seven, or eight rotis! The weather was amazing. Everything was just perfect." (Photo: Instagram)

A follower of Lord Ram and Hanuman, she revealed that she wanted to get married on November 25 because it's the same date when Lord Ram married Sita ji. She added, "And I got married in the same lagna, on a Tuesday—Hanumanji’s day. Everything was destiny. Even the hotel name—Shri Ram International. I think everything was planned by Hanumanji." And while the smile didn't fade from her face during the wedding, her eyes were full of tears during Kanyadaan. She said, "I don’t know who made that ritual. I don’t like it. Everyone has their own identity. Why must women change it? I cried so much." "Kanyadaan was really tough for me. But Ashish helped me through it. But a memory from her wedding that has been engraved in her soul is when their eyes met. She said, "When I stepped into the mandap, we had an eye-lock. We both had goosebumps. Everything froze. Vindhya and Ashish, though, had an eventful day, but it did not require any planning. Vindhya laughed and said, "There was no planning. No event planner. Nothing. We all did it ourselves." She shared that for her, weddings were meant to be organic. "Marriage is all about two families coming together and having fun, and that's exactly what happened in our wedding.
