Exclusive - Bigg Boss OTT contestant Pratik Sahejpal: I am nobody's ex and have my own identity; don't want people to link my name with Pavitra Punia

Pratik Sehajpal, who made his entry in reality show Bigg Boss OTT, spoke exclusively to ETimes TV about why he chose to do the show this year. He revealed that he was offered the show last year as well but due to prior commitments he couldn't take it up. Last year his former girlfriend Pavitra Punia was also a part of the reality show. On being asked if he is comfortable talking about Pavitra, Pratik said it was a two-month long fling and he has nothing to hide about it. He further added that he doesn't want to be known as her ex and has his own identity. The actor, who has been a part of reality shows like Splitsvilla and Ace Of Space, shared that he doesn't have any strategy as they don't work inside the Bigg Boss house. (Photo: Instagram)

Last year for Bigg Boss 14, my contract was done and everything was finalised. In fact, I was waiting to enter the show but I had given my commitment to some other project which got extended and so I couldn’t enter the show. I would like to tell the audience don’t expect anything from me because expectation is the root cause of all the problems. But all I can say is that it is going to be a bumpy ride. I am not going inside the house with any strategy. I haven’t planned anything. I am going to be what I am and do whatever my heart says. I don’t make any strategy in any of my shows because I know at the end of the day they are not going to work. I’ve seen the previous seasons and I liked Gautam Gulati and Manveer Gurjar’s journey on the show. They have played the game solo and have performed so well. They won the show because they played straight from the heart. I am not going inside by getting inspired by anyone or I am not going to behave like anyone as I am Pratik Sahejpal and I am different from others and have my own personality. (Photo: Instagram)

I am going to work as per my mood, if I feel like working and doing household chores, I’ll do it, if I don’t like nobody can force me to do it. If someone tries to dictate or force me, he or she will have to face the consequences. That person will regret the decision of forcing me to work because I will make that person’s life a living hell. If someone asks me about my past with Pavitra Punia, I won’t mind talking about it because my life is like an open book. Our relationship was just for a couple of months. I’ve been into many relationships which have lasted for 2-3 months, I don’t know why this is highlighted every time. I don’t have anything to hide. I am nobody ex and I’ve my own identity. I have landed here because of my hard work. I would not appreciate people linking my name to her. I would like my name to be associated with my mother and vice versa. I don’t easily fall for anyone. I try to stay away from love but if it happens I don’t mind. I don’t shy if I like a girl and I don’t believe in keeping it inside my heart. I am not going inside the house for a relationship, it is a war zone for me. Bigg Boss for me right now is a game zone and I can’t trust anyone there. It is very difficult to understand if someone has feelings for you that are even genuine or not. There are people who pretend to be in love and once their job is done they just walk away. I can’t share my stuff with others as I live alone in Mumbai and it is very difficult for me to share my space with anyone. No, I am not going to be a troublemaker. But if someone tries to trouble me, they will get 100 percent more from my side. I won’t pick unnecessary fights, but if someone tries to tell me that I am taking footage, I won’t shy from admitting that ‘yes I am on the show for footage’.
