Exclusive - Bigg Boss 16 contestant Tina Datta on her journey, fallout with Shalin Bhanot and Sumbul Touqeer Khan
Tina Datta, who recently got evicted from the Bigg Boss 16 house, spoke exclusively to ETimes TV about her journey and how she managed to survive in the show. She shared about Sumbul's father's phone call about her and why her equation with Sumbul became bad. Tina blasted Shalin Bhanot and called him a person who manipulates everyone, and has anger issues. She stated that everyone knows about his aggression not just in the Bigg Boss 16 house but from outside. I lived every emotion inside the house
My journey has been beautiful with lots of ups and downs. I saw good, bad, ugly days. I lived every emotion inside the house. Like in our normal life we have good days, bad days and happiness and sadness, the same way I lived my journey to the fullest in the Bigg Boss 16 house. (Photo: Instagram)
My fans are saying that they were seeing me as one of the finalists
Whoever I have met so far is telling me that they are disappointed that I’ve come out of the house just before the finale. They are saying that they were seeing me as one of the finalists. My fans are upset and disappointed. I just want to apologise to them that I couldn’t go far. I consider myself as a survivor

I just commented what I saw and felt about Sumbul and I don’t think I was wrong
It had become very difficult to ignore whatever Sumbul’s father said about me. It was not easy to ignore the things he said. The things that I mentioned about Sumbul were the things I observed about her in the Bigg Boss house through her actions. I just commented what I saw and felt and I don’t think I was wrong. This show is such that you have to share your opinions and can’t do anything else. You have the full right to keep your opinions across. I think whatever happened was in Sumbul’s favour because the Sumbul we see now is very different from the previous one. (Photo: Instagram)
Sumbul has reached so far in the show on her own merit
Sumbul now is a different person altogether. She is a beautiful person and she is openly voicing her opinions and it has benefited her in the long run. Shalin was portraying as if Sumbul was inside the show on his mercy. He was dominating, manipulating her and we have all seen how he would tell her that she is standing in the show because of her. Shalin Bhanot is an extremely manipulative, aggressive person
Shalin was always behind me and he would try to woo me on the show, later we became good friends. But while getting to know him in the house I got to know who the real Shalin Bhanot is. He is an extremely manipulative, aggressive person. We all have known about his aggression issue before the show, it is not a hidden fact and we all know how aggressive he is. He once charged towards me to hit me in front of all the cameras. Throwing things, breaking them in aggression, he has done all that. When I got to know about this side of Shalin, I started to maintain a distance myself. I realised that I can’t be with him. I took my stand and things went against me. (Photo: Instagram)
