If in touch with Shaka Laka Boom Boom co-actors?

Honestly, no. I'm not in touch with anybody because I was doing these serials when I was really young, and I had to study, complete my education, and then I became an actress down South. Since, ever my journey has been a roller-coaster ride, and I have been working and been busy in these stuffs.(Photo: Instagram)

Do you watch TV content?

Yes, I do watch a lot of TV shows but not on television on the web but the only TV show that I used to watch or watched now is Bigg Boss. (Photo: Instagram)

4/16

On participating in Bigg Boss?

No. You need a lot of courage to be in it, and I wouldn't do it. I'm a silent spectator, enjoying it from outside.(Photo: Instagram)

5/16

Are you content with the way your journey has shaped up?

An actor can never feel content. They can probably be happy with their journey but never feel content. And, I am a very greedy actor. I want to do more and more. So, I wouldn't say that I am content because I want to just keep working 365 days where I have no time to breathe, and I am okay with any kind of medium - be it movies, web shows or music videos. How has your journey been?

Of course, no industry is very easy. I've had my shares of ups and downs, and I am okay with it. This is what makes my journey very interesting, and yes, I have made this far all by myself through my hard work, and I've had no godfather or anyone pitching me or getting me work. It's just my hardwork and talent. But, I have been very lucky that I have met some really nice people who guided me the right way. I'm just very fortunate with people that I have met on this journey.(Photo: Instagram)

How do you take on cyberbullying?

There are a lot of people sitting empty, sitting in the corner of their house where they want to get a lot of attention from others, and say something nasty. I don't think it's important to give them air. I personally have been through a lot of this. My phones have been hacked, my laptops have been hacked, not once but thrice where one fine day I wake up to my gadgets being hacked, and I have to go through the same whole procedure. I don't change my phone that often because the whole piracy team has to sit and put whatever the securities are required. So, I have been through all and I don't have the time to give them back. The more you give them air, the more they want to trouble you. If they are bullying or troubling, get done with it, I will quietly block you if it's on any social media or on any call, I will block you. I don't want to give you any footage. (Photo: Instagram)

Was it difficult to break free of child actor image?

It hasn't happened to me because when I was a child artist, I did a lot of TV series. There was this popular serial Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand where I was recognised for my emotions. For Shaka Laka Boom Boom, it was different, it was more fun, then I did Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. I was a part of a lot of options, even as a child. So, I didn't have any stereotypes to break, and then I became an actress. Whatever films I did here, in South, I was just very lucky and I didn't have that pressure, I have to break this stereotype.(Photo: Instagram)

On returning to Hindi television

If I have the time and the energy, and something that excites me then definitely.(Photo: Instagram)

Music video an exposure for those away from the limelight

I haven't really stayed away from the camera. Maybe, I haven't done enough stuff here in Hindi, but I have been doing a lot of films in the Southern film industry. I call myself an entertainer and wherever I get a chance to entertain, I will entertain - language is not a barrier for me. If I get a great project in the South, I will do it, similarly for Hindi. So, for me, I really don't relate with this.(Photo: Instagram)

11/16

What has been your takeaway from the lockdown?

Patience, and a lot of patience because I am not a person who will be tamed down. Patience that this will pass, it's going to be normal again. So, that's what I have learnt. (Photo: Instagram)

12/16

What is the kind of responses that you are receiving for your song, Mazaa?

Great! In less than 2-4 hours, we were already at 4 to 5 million views, and now we are touching almost 10 million. The responses have been great, huge and I'm quite excited and quite happy to be a part of such a project. (Photo: Instagram)

13/16

What was it that you liked about the song most?

The song itself because the song is so heart-touching, it is so soulful. Such songs are rarely made and very few people get to enact such characters to emote. And, I was sure I had to do this project.(Photo: Instagram)

14/16

What is your take on the new-age love?

Everyone has their own journey, and everyone knows what's right and what's wrong for them. I can't comment on what I think about the love-life, sabka pyaar different hota hai (Everyone's love story is different). Who's there in that shoe they can say better. In this video, there is immense love between both of them, and she gives him one more chance because a person deserves one chance. About real life I would say, each to their own.(Photo: Instagram)

15/16

Have you ever been at such a stage ever in your life?

(Takes a long pause) No, I haven't been cheated.

On breaking the ice with Gurmeet Choudhary

I don't take time to make friends. I am a very easy-go-lucky person and I just started talking to him. I didn't have to make any efforts and I am not the 'Hi Hello' kind of girl and I'm not shy. I, in fact, enjoy talking on set. I sit on set when my shot is not ready. Also, Gurmeet has been extremely sweet and has been very warm too. The whole vibe on set was very young and playful. So, it was very easy to have a conversation with anyone. (Photo: Instagram)
