Exclusive - Ankita Lokhande–Vicky Jain on their comeback to Laughter Chefs Season 3, trolls calling it scripted, and missing the team

Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain, who are making a comeback to Laughter Chefs season 3, recently joined Times of India TV for an exclusive chat. In the interview, the couple opened up about their journey on Laughter Chefs 3, how much they miss being part of the show. They also reacted to trolls claiming the show is scripted and talked about the bond they share with the team. Vicky also talked about their thoughts on starting a family and what the future holds for them. (Photo: Instagram)

Ankita on comeback

The OGs are back, so what more do you need? Laughter Chefs is a set where it never feels like we’re shooting. It feels like home. This morning, we got scolded a lot because we didn't listen to anyone. Bharti and Harpal even left the set in anger. We are those kids who never listen, and that’s why the set feels just like home.” (Photo: Instagram)

Vicky on reuniting with Laughter Chefs cast

There’s no shooting vibe on this set at all. Everyone is just friends meeting each other. It feels like we haven’t caught up in a long time, so we keep talking, laughing, and having fun without even getting tired. The energy and atmosphere are amazing. That’s why this show doesn't just work for me—it’s very close to my heart, and it’s genuinely fun to shoot. (Photo: Instagram)

Ankita on shooting despite being unwell

This is the rule of our industry—the show must go on. And that’s what all of us do, not just me. I’ve seen many big artists who are extremely tired, yet they never step away from their work. This is a small thing in comparison. You can’t deny it. This set is like your home. You have to work hard and entertain people, and that’s why you do it. (Photo: Instagram)

Ankita and Vicky on missing the season 3

Ankita said, "Honestly, I didn’t watch the episodes because I was crying a lot. I didn’t feel like watching them then, and even now I don’t want to." Vicky added, "We had gone to a Laughter Chefs party, which everyone attends, but at that time we weren’t part of the show. It was just a promo, and we weren’t there. Back then, we are fine but later it hit us hard that we are not part of the show. Now we are back, we are very happy, and we’re having a lot of fun.” (Photo: Instagram)

Ankita and Vicky react to the show being called 'Scripted'

Not even one percent of the show is scripted. Trolling is their job, and ours is to ignore it. People say this about every reality show. Even during Bigg Boss, they claimed it was scripted, which is not true at all. We cook with a lot of hard work. If things were planned, the food would always turn out perfect—but that doesn’t happen. Our dishes get burnt, they get spoiled. That itself proves it’s real. There is no training at all. In shows like MasterChef, contestants are trained properly, but that’s not the case with Laughter Chefs. (Photo: Instagram)

On Bharti returning to shoot within three week of her delivery

Bharti is extremely hardworking, and I believe this is the right age to focus on work. One day, she might say she doesn’t want to do it anymore, but for now, she is passionate and fully dedicated to what she does. That’s why she’s giving it her all. Hats off to her. (Photo: Instagram)

Vicky and Ankita on plans of embracing parenthood

Ankita and Vicky were seen joking about parenthood embracing parenthood. Vicky says, "The media person is asking What can we do right now? Bharti has had two, what about us." Ankita responds, "You tell her this time." Vicky jokes, "She’s a little unwell at the moment. Let her recover first, and then we’ll plan something. She isn’t well yet and keeps sneezing.” (Photo: Instagram)
