Asha Bhosle at the age of 92 has left the music industry and fans across the country in mourning. Remembering her legacy, Parleen Gill spoke about the lasting impact she has had on generations of singers.

Talking about his favourite songs, he added, “It’s honestly very difficult to pick because every song of hers has a different flavour. But if I have to choose, ‘Piya Tu Ab To Aaja’ and ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko’ stand out. The energy and attitude in ‘Piya Tu…’ is iconic, while ‘Chura Liya…’ has a timeless softness that stays with you. These songs show how effortlessly she could switch moods.”
Reflecting on her legacy, Parleen said, “Legends like Asha Bhosle ji never really leave us. Their voice becomes a part of our lives and memories. Her songs are timeless—they don’t belong to just one generation.”
He further added, “Even today, young singers like us learn so much from her work. That’s the beauty of true legacy—it continues to inspire long after time has passed.”
Expressing a personal regret, he said, “I only wish I had the chance to meet her.”
