Dipika Kakar delivers baby boy a month before her due date; here's a look at TV actresses who had premature babies

While entering motherhood is the most joyous phase in a woman's life, there have been instances of premature babies that make the initial experience a little worrisome. There are several TV actresses who have had babies much before their due date. The latest one is Dipika Kakar who delivered a baby boy a month before her due date. Take a look.

Surprisingly, Dipika Kakar delivered a baby boy on June 21 when her due date was somewhere in the middle of July. Her husband Shoaib Ibrahim informed in a post, "Alhamdulillah today 21st June 2023 early morning, we were blessed with a baby boy. It’s a premature delivery, nothing much to worry. Keep us in your prayers." The parents-to-be are now busy looking after their little one.

Neha Marda developed pregnancy-related complications due to which she delivered a premature baby girl early in April. She told BT, "My BP became a concern soon after I got pregnant, and it went erratic in the fifth month. Our doctor had prepared us for it in advance. Complications were expected but fortunately, everything went about fine." The baby was brought home after 20 days of being admitted to the ICU.

Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary, who conceived naturally after the birth of their daughter Lianna, were in for a difficult time after their second baby girl was born on November 11 last year, way ahead of the due date. Debina called her daughter a 'miracle baby' who was in a hurry to come into the world. Their daughter was kept for some time in the NICU before being discharged.

Sangita Ghosh, who was last seen in TV show Swaran Ghar, welcomed a baby girl into the world at 7 months. The actress did not choose to talk about it back then as the baby was premature. But she told BT last year, "Devi was born prematurely on December 25, 2021. It was an anxious time, as she had issues being a premature baby and was in the NICU for 15-odd days. It’s not that we hid the news, but we decided not to talk about it till we felt the time was right."

Mahhi Vij had her baby girl Tara in 2019 through IVF. It came after several failed attempts. The actress shared in an interview with a leading website that Tara was born prematurely and had to be kept on the ventilator. She recalled how it was the most difficult time of her life to see her in the NICU. She was, however, positive that Tara would make it and now she is the centre of her world.

Rajneet Monga: Sahil Anand and his wife Ranjeet had a baby boy on April 14, 2021. Their worry was not just limited to being in the midst of Covid-19 crisis in the country but also of it being a preterm baby. Talking about his experience to BT, he said, "At a time when we are scared to even step out for necessary work, Rajneet and I were meeting our gynaecologist and going for ultrasound scans every week. During our last visit, the doctor told us that she would have to go in for a premature delivery owing to medical complications."
