Danish Akhtar: There are times in life when you might need to pause
Siya Ke Ram actor Danish Akhtar who has also been a part of shows like Jai Maa Vaishnodevi, Santoshi Maa, Kakbhushundi Ramayan, and Shanidev, among others, feels life is unpredictable, but he focuses on the present rather than living in the past or worrying about the future. He believes that people should keep working on their goals, no matter what the situation is.He said, "Life is very unpredictable, and while we talk about living in the present, we often postpone our goals and our peace of mind. This means something different to everyone. Sometimes, people defer their peace due to unavoidable circumstances or compulsions. However, one must not postpone things out of laziness; it is harmful."The actor added, "One must keep moving toward their goals. Whether you take four steps or just one, you must keep moving forward. You should focus solely on your target, ignoring distractions or what others say. There are times in life when you might need to pause or slow down, and that is perfectly okay. Pausing to rest is essential, but giving up is not an option."For him, me-time means giving priority to his health. He feels that people should never take their health for granted and always make time for it always.
He said, "It is true that we all need personal time, especially for health, which we often neglect. Everyone has time, yet many choose to put it off. This should never happen with health. Whether it is yoga or a workout, you should dedicate thirty minutes to an hour, three to five days a week, whenever you find the time.""People always find time for what they prioritize, yet I see them making excuses like, 'I didn't have time to call' or 'I didn't have time for the gym.' Everyone has the same time; it just fluctuates. One must absolutely make time for their health and for talking to parents, family, and friends," he said.Danish spoke about the importance of time management and revealed that he reduces his sleeping time to make up for other things. He said, "I will admit that perfect time management is difficult, but I try my best. I attempt to reduce my sleep from eight hours to five or six so I can use those extra hours for my health and other responsibilities. It is challenging, especially with the demands of TV shoots.""Shooting in places like Naigaon means two to three hours are spent just commuting. Between gym, sleep, and family, it gets tough. Still, I make a sincere effort to balance it all, giving time to my family, myself, my health, and my professional shooting commitments. I strive to manage every aspect of my life," he added.Danish is full of gratitude, especially seeing the hardships most of the people in the country face as they struggle for food, clothes, home, and even health, family, marriage, career, success, name, and fame. He said, "I am very grateful to God for everything I have been given so far: food, clothing, and every aspect of my life.""While I am content, I still pray and work incredibly hard to achieve more. While I desire progress, it doesn't mean I am unhappy or dissatisfied with what I have right now. I hold onto that sense of contentment and gratitude while working hard and praying that God grants me whatever is best for my future," he added. While the industry is unpredictable, he calls it competitive too. He said, "No matter how much we deny it, competition, a fast pace, and a sense of rivalry are always present. In fact, these should exist in life."He feels that these things push one closer to their goals. He said, "You will inevitably face significant competition and various obstacles, and you must always be prepared to deal with them. To navigate this, I strive to move forward in my life and keep up with the hustle. But, it is not as if I completely forget the essential things in my life or my family. I try to manage those priorities while continuing to push ahead, work hard, and face whatever competitions come my way. This is how I manage things.""A person should not be in a rush for anything, thinking that time has run out or things didn't happen. When it comes to moving forward in your career, time is in the hands of God. One should simply keep working hard. Keep laboring as much as possible, push yourself, and break your limits. God will surely grant the results of that hard work. In my life, I follow two or three very simple rules: gratitude and patience. Be grateful for what you have, and have patience for what you desire. That’s it. I believe if anyone adopts these simple principles, there will be happiness in their life, and they will eventually achieve what they want. So, keep offering thanks for what is present and be patient for what you seek," he added.
