Choosing to play a negative role in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was a deliberate choice: Madirakshi Mundle
Madirakshi Mundle, who made her debut with Siya Ke Ram playing the lead role of Sita, has acted mostly in mythological shows. With the exception Jaat Ki Jugni and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, the actress has essayed only mytho roles in the last decade. Ask her if she has got slotted in the mytho genre and she says, "I did act in Jaat Ki Jugni, which was not a mythological show. But, later, I decided to go with what offers I was getting and was happy that I acted in shows like Maa Vaishnodevi, Vignaharta Ganesh and Karn Sangini. There is uncertainty in our profession and one should have the good sense to choose roles which are offered to you. I feel it is a blessing to play Goddess Parvati and Goddess Lakshmi in TV shows."
Madirakshi was last seen playing a negative role in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which recently wrapped up. The actress shares why she chose to play a negative role. She says "Choosing to play a negative role was a deliberate choice. My family was pushing me to do something different. The character in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was glamorous, negative and I loved it! After playing a negative role, now I am getting many offers to play the antagonist in TV shows. I feel these roles have great scope in TV. They are complex characters and challenge the actor. I am hoping that I will be part of more such projects where I get to play the vamp."
On the personal front, Madirakshi is happy spending time with her family, when she is not on the set. She says, "I have cultivated many hobbies like reading and travelling. I have a big family and love catching up with my relatives and friends when I am not acting.”
