Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen get divorced within 4 years of marriage; the highs and lows in their relationship

Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa’s divorce has come through just a week before they would have completed 4 years of marriage. They have been through lots of ups and downs in marital life and tried several times to work it through. But they couldn’t work it through. Here’s a look at how their marital life tumbled down.

ETimes TV had exclusively reported about their final hearing which was supposed to take place today (June 8). When ETimes TV got in touch with Rajeev to check on the hearing update, he said, 'We are divorced'. He also put up a note on social media hinting that they have finally parted ways. The note read: "There are no goodbyes. Just two people who just couldn’t hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remain mom and dad to our daughter."

In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV, Charu said, “Ziana is Rajeev and my responsibility and she is our child. Rajeev can meet her whenever he wants, I always say that he’s always welcome to spend time with Ziana. In fact, if he wants I can drop Ziana at his place and I recently sent Ziana to be with her father. That’s not a problem. I feel it is better this way that we both are co-parenting Ziana. I want our daughter to see us both respecting and behaving well towards each other. I don’t want Ziana to see Rajeev and me sharing a relationship where we both are not happy and it becomes toxic for her as well. This is better I feel. Toh isse accha ye hai.”

In January this year, Charu attended the wedding of Rajeev and sister-in-law Sushmita Sen’s cousin in Kolkata. While they were separated, Charu and Rajeev shocked everyone as they did a romantic dance number together at the sangeet. Charu shares a very good rapport with her in-laws.

A few months after calling off the divorce, Charu left her marital home, where she was staying with estranged husband Rajeev Sen. She had moved into a smaller space with her daughter. Giving a glimpse of her new space, Charu shared in her vlog, “It’s a small house. But it is enough for Ziana and me.” Currently, Charu left the 1BHK and is living in a 2BHK with Ziana.

Charu Asopa and husband Rajeev Sen called off their divorce on Ganesh Chaturthi last year after months of fighting and putting allegations on each other. Rajeev had poured his heart out in his vlog back then and called it a ‘miracle’. He had then said, “I can clearly feel that this is God’s calling and his wish, we should not part ways. This is where we are today and we’ve gotten back stronger.” But it lasted for a few months.

They levelled many accusations at each other. Rajeev had accused Charu of not revealing about her previous marriage. Charu on the other hand had remarked Rajeev having an ‘escapist’ attitude everytime they had a fight or argument. For the unversed, Rajeev has houses in Delhi and Dubai and he would most of the time fly off from Mumbai and Charu would complain about living alone.

Problems between Charu and Rajeev soon began to surface after they got married in June 2019. It became apparent when they deleted all their posts together and unfollowed each other on social media. Not only this, during the lockdown, Rajeev left his Mumbai home and the couple did not celebrate their first wedding anniversary together. However, by the end of 2020, the couple reconciled. They went on a family holiday to Dubai and are a part of all the special occasions together. It was in November 2021, the couple embraced parenthood and welcomed Ziana.
