Charrul Malik: We're living on autopilot mode... we should prioritize our happiness
Charrul Malik, who’s currently seen in the show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, was a television news presenter earlier. Switching careers wasn't easy but she is glad she took the plunge. She loves her job today but also believes in focussing on her wellness and happiness.
Charrul says, “Life is moving at an incredibly fast pace, and often, we fail to appreciate or pay attention to our own emotions and well-being. We're living on an autopilot mode. We should prioritize our happiness and engage in things that bring us joy.”
She adds, “I've experienced this myself multiple times, where people were around only as long as I served a purpose for them. Now that I'm no longer useful in their professional endeavours, they have filtered me out. When I was in the media, highlighting and featuring everyone, they were with me. However, now that I'm an actor, many have distanced themselves. So yes my transition aren’t easy. Even though people feel it was easy for me to make this transition, it wasn’t so.”
In the past when we had asked her if she missed her past profession, she had said, “When I was the face of a channel, I hosted a show for an hour. I was in the limelight then too. I sometimes miss that limelight which was different from being an actor. But that's alright. I've just started acting and I'm only two years here. I wish to do more significant scenes and play more exciting characters in the future.”
