Celebrity MasterChef: Chunky Panday says ‘I want to sign form to judge the show, will perform for free’, Farah jokes ‘You have to give money to be here’
The latest episode of Celebrity MasterChef was a perfect mix of high-stakes cooking, heartwarming gestures, and hilarious banter. As the finalists went head-to-head with professional chefs in an intense cook-off, Bollywood actor Chunky Panday brought a generous dose of entertainment and enthusiasm to the kitchen.
The challenge saw the top five finalists competing against chefs Gaurav Malhotra, Ishjyot Suri, and Reena Samby. Nikki Tamboli impressed the judges with a stunning prawn dish. Chef Vikas Khanna praised it, saying, “The layers on the prawn are like you're eating in some top Michelin star restaurant.” Ranveer Brar added, “Nikki is back,” giving her the coveted spoon tap.
Amid the cooking action, Chunky Panday was curious to know how the contestants created their dishes, asking, “Do you guys have a recipe book or make it from your own mind?” Vikas replied, “They’ve been training and preparing for months. These kids are hardworking and focused.”
Impressed, Chunky then said, “Where do you get a form to become a judge on MasterChef? When the food is so tasty, I will judge for free!” Judge Farah Khan quickly quipped, “You’ll have to pay to be here. No one takes you for free!” To which Chunky replied with a laugh, “I will pay!”
As the judges announced the results, Chef Gaurav and Nikki were tied for the top dish. According to the rules, a win by a professional chef would mean a finalist’s elimination. But in a heartening turn, Chef Gaurav said, “We professional cooks have doing this for years. This is our job. It will be our win when aspiring chefs like you go ahead in life. The dish you made was very inspiring. I would like to give my win to them.” This generous gesture led to no elimination.
