We spotted actress Moon Banerrjee the other day with a couple of friends chatting away. No, they weren’t talking about the television industry, but about books. Later when we bumped into Moon she told us how she could talk about books for hours together. “I have been a voracious reader all my life, but somewhere along the way, books and I lost touch!”
But a few years ago, she got back to her love — novels! And since then, she makes it a point to read whenever possible. The one book that has left an everlasting impression on her is Catcher in the Rye. “It had a great impact on me purely because of the brilliant narrative and impeccable characterisation of Holden Caulfield. I’d recommend this book to anyone who is fond of good literature and flawless storytelling. Amongst the Indian writers, I have inculcated a taste for
Rohinton Mistry,” she says.
