A renowned musician from Kashmir, she ensured that both hersons underwent the vocal training in Indian classical music. Creativity in theirgenes, the two were in a way destined to follow a profession which requires alot of creativity. While Sumit pursued his dream of becoming an actor, Suhailhoned his skills as a singer. They are both upcoming artists in their respectivefields and have achieved recognition and critical acclaim for their work.
Suhail, who has rendered his voice to some popular tracks like Oh meri jaan and Baatein kuch ankaheen si from Metro, has added a new song to his list titled School ke din from Shah Rukh Khan's production Always Kabhi Kabhi. And the first thing he did after getting the CD of his song was to meet his brother Sumit, who he thinks has a great ear for music. In fact, he drove to Sumit's house at 2:30 am and ensured that he listened to the song and gave his feedback. Suhail says, "When Sumit says he didn't like how I sang a song, it hurts. Not because I don't like him saying it, but only because he is always honest about his critique and more often than not, right about the errors I might have made. That is why when he appreciates my work, that is the ultimate high".
