Bigg Boss contestants who surprised us when they got close and became couples

Even though the reality show Bigg Boss isn't about finding love, yet many contestants in the house have got close, some have fallen in love and even got married on the show over the years. Some associations came as a surprise because audiences were just not expecting that connection to take place. But it happened. Here's a look at them...

In BB 13, when Himanshi Khurrana came in as a wild card entry, nobody expected Asim Riaz to fall head over heels in love with her. One, because she said she was engaged and second, they seemed very different from each other. Initially many people felt Asim was faking love. But the two continue to be in a relationship even now and they look happy together.

The two fell in love in season 7 of Bigg Boss and their relationship was full of drama. They backed each other in everything. One didn't think Tanishaa, who was considered very level-headed, and the hot-headed Armaan Kohli would get ao close. Evwn after coming out of the house, the two continued their relationship. They eventually split.

Gautam, who was winner of his season 8, was attracted to one of the contestants in the house Diandra Soares. Their chemistry was often spoken about during that season. They were even caught kissing on camera. The two seemed very different and hence viewers were surprised at first and wondered if it would last. After coming out of the house, things ended and Gautam said that it was just attraction, there was no relationship.

When Paras went into the Bigg Boss 13 house, he was already in a relationship with Akanksha Puri. After his initial friendship with Shehnaaz Gill, he moved on to Mahira. What came as a surprise was that he started getting serious about his friendship with Mahira. He openly showed his affection and things with his gf outside got messy, glinpses of which one saw on the reality show. Eventually he broke up with Akanksha. Paras today admits he is in a happy space with Mahira.

These two in season 7 didn't easily fall in love. Initially they had a lot of fights on the show but later as they started understanding each other better, they were drawn towards each other. The audience too found them cute together. However their relationship didn't last for too long after coming out of the house.

Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia didn't look compatible at all in the house at first. The two were strong personalities who tried to get close but clashed each time. So nobody expected their equation to take the shape of a relationship. But it did and today, the two are going steady. Just yesterday, the couple took off to Coorg to celebrate Eijaz's birthday.

No one expected Akashdeep Saigal (Sky Walker) and Pooja Bedi to get close in the Bigg Boss 5 house but they did. The two gelled realy well. They continued their relationship post the show but broke up some time later.
