Bigg Boss 19: Malti Chahar reveals her father wanted her to be an IPS officer; says "Was not allowed to dress up like girls, had boy-cut till 12th'
Bigg Boss 19’s latest wildcard entry, Malti Chahar, has already created quite a buzz with her arrival. From giving Tanya Mittal a reality check to joining Amaal Mallik and Zeishan Qadri’s group, Malti has certainly made an impact.
In the latest episode, Malti was seen talking about her life and revealed how her father wanted her to be an IPS officer even before she was born. During a conversation with Mridul Tiwari and Amaal Mallik, Malti shared, "Mere papa ka sapna tha mere paida hone se pehle ke ek beti ho aur woh IPS officer bane. (My father had a dream even before I was born — he wanted to have a daughter who would one day become an IPS officer.) He wanted me to become an IPS officer."
Speaking about her struggle during childhood, she said, "Toh unhone bahot koshish ki. Mujhe ghar se bahar jaana allowed nahi tha. Mere boycut the 12th class tak, mujhe ladkiyon jaise kapde pehnna bhi allowed nahi tha. Agar maine mehendi lagayi toh thappad padta tha sidhe. So ladkiyon jaise harkatein allowed nahi thi. I am very comfortable with boys kyunki bachpan se ladkon ke saath he rehi hoon. Papa ke saath rehti thi main aur papa ke doston ke saath. So I'm very used to the male energy."
(So they tried really hard. I wasn’t allowed to step out of the house. Until Class 12, I had a boy-cut hairstyle and wasn’t permitted to wear clothes like girls do. If I ever applied mehendi, I’d get slapped immediately. Basically, anything considered “girly” was off-limits for me. I’ve always felt more comfortable around boys because I grew up surrounded by them — living with my father and spending time with his friends. So, I naturally became used to male energy.)
Malti was assigned the role of a witch in a new task where she was given special powers to nominate contestants. She along with Farrhana Bhatt, used their special powers and nominated Baseer Ali, Ashnoor Kaur, Pranit More, Neelam Bhatt, Zeishan Qadri, Mridul Tiwari.
For the uninitiated, Malti is not just an actress but also a model, content creator, and filmmaker. She is widely recognized as the sister of Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar. Coming from a cricket-loving family, she also shares a close bond with her cousin Rahul Chahar, who represents India on the international stage. Born on November 15, 1990, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, Malti grew up in an environment deeply rooted in sports.
