Bigg Boss 14: Fights with wife Rubina Dilaik to becoming Rakhi Sawant's obsession, Abhinav Shukla's journey has not been easy

When Abhinav Shukla entered the house of Bigg Boss, not many thought he'd survive for long. However, his stint in the game proved otherwise. The actor made it thus far and has managed to reach closer to the finale week. While one didn't expect things to be tough for him in the house, his journey on Bigg Boss 14 has been far from it. He made headlines for the shocking revelations made by his wife Rubina Dilaik, his fights with her and becoming Rakhi Sawant's object of affection. In one of the tasks where contestants had to reveal their secrets, Rubina ended up disclosing that Abhinav and she were about to get divorced but have given each other grace time. This led to several opinions about their relationship. While some felt Rubina shouldn't have said what she did, others praised her for being forthcoming and honest. Abhinav got upset with her for revealing this on national television but made peace with it.

Not once but several times in the Bigg Boss house, Abhinav grabbed attention for his fights and differences with Rubina. For instance, during the Panchayat task, Abhinav got angry with Rubina for not listening to him. He told her it's become difficult to talk to her and slammed her for being a 'bad listener'. In another episode talking about Rakhi he told her, "Constantly picking on someone will not lead you anywhere. Tu inke level tak jaa sakti hai (You can stoop down to their level)." He added, "Bola tha na uss din, mat drama kar sone ko lekar! Ab yeh roz chadhenge tere pe (I told you the other day, not to make a scene about sleeping. Now, they will target you every day)."

In one of the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, Abhinav was scolded by Salman for not letting Rubina speak. He asked Abhinav not to become his wife's mouth piece and decide if he is her 'better or worst half'. He was also accused of not letting Rubina express herself. It wasn't just Salman, but even Ekta Kapoor and a caller on the show who told Abhinav the same. Rubina was rather encouraged to speak for herself, take her own stand and not get influenced by Abhinav.

Arshi Khan flirted with Abhinav initially, but it was Rakhi Sawant who took it to another level by asking Abhinav to be her sperm donor. It was said in one of the episodes where Rakhi talked about having frozen her eggs with former contestant Sonali Phogat. Another time Rakhi crossed all limits was when she pulled Abhinav's underpant strings during a task. While Rakhi later said she did this playfully, it failed to make Abhinav's wife, Rubina, laugh. She got into a tiff with Rakhi for the same. Even Abhinav felt what she did with him was inappropriate. He later told Rubina, "The kind of woman she is, I doubt if she will leave me outside. Have you seen the kind of videos she makes? I don’t want to talk to her."

Salman and Abhinav got into a war of words after the former told the latter in the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode that he is benefitting from Rakhi's antics in the house. This made Abhinav so angry that he told Salman in no uncertain terms, "If this is entertainment, I want to go home right now." Salman replied, "You don't need to overreact to things like this." Another time Abhinav made news was when Rakhi called him 'tharki'. It annoyed him so much that he yelled at her and it led Rubina to be nominated for the entire season as she threw soapy water on Rakhi in a fit of rage. In the house, Abhinav also made news for his fights with Rahul Vaidya. During one of the tasks, he was called 'Nalla Nalla' by Rahul and Rubina was told she was 'Nalasopara Ki Rani'. Rahul also mocked the couple for always bringing out everyone's 'aukaat' and told them they are capable of nothing.
