Archana Puran Singh calls husband Parmeet an ‘absent father’; tells him, “Even though you were negligent, my kids couldn’t have a better dad”
Archana Puran Singh, who’s currently winning hearts with her time on The Great Indian Kapil Show, shared a video on her YouTube channel with her husband, Parmeet. In it, they recalled problems in their marriage and how they fixed them. Archana even shared how Parmeet didn’t fully understand fatherhood in the initial years.
Archana and Parmeet spoke about the tough times in their marriage and how they dealt with things. Moreover, Archana mentioned that Parmeet may have been an absent father in the first few years, but he is the best dad Ayushmaan and Aaryamann could have.
Archana shared, “No matter how much stress you have, whether from a corporate job or any kind of work, I think for both a woman and a man, it’s very important not to bring that job stress home. It’s very easy to say, but very difficult to practice. We shut down the production company because all our stress had started entering our bedroom.”
She further said, “For both of us, I think family has always come first. And I always knew, Bittu, that even if you were an absent father in the beginning, even if you were negligent at times the kids have also said that in the first few years you weren’t really present, maybe because you didn’t fully understand what fatherhood meant despite all of that, I knew one thing. Till today, my children could not have found a better father than Bittu.”
Archana later added, “What kept us together were our children, the common project we shared, whom we both love very much. Neither of us wanted a family break-up. We both come from solid families, not broken homes. Our role model was an everlasting marriage that no matter what happens, we stay together. At that time, our love became about surviving together. Sometimes, love becomes just surviving together.”
