Apara Mehta in a new Gujarati TV show

Back on the Saas brigade, hitting with something fresh is actor Apara Mehta. She will be seen in Asit Modi’s new show on Colors channel.
She is she back with a bang on Hamari Saas Leela, a new Gujarati Family based show. Apara plays the character of protagonist Leela, who has a middle class mentality. Unlike her previous roles, she doesn’t play a grey character but yes has the qualities of a typical woman more so having bad phases in life and the fact that now she is rich.
Leela is someone whom everybody must have met in their lives. She is this funny rich woman who uses the elite brands but is unable to pronounce them. She plays the much loved mother who is on the look out for her perfect bahu’s for her four adorable sons.
On being asked about her new show, Apara said, "It’s a completely fresh plot directed by the famous Asit Modi. While people still remember me as Tulsi’s saas Savita Virani, they will get to see a whole new side of me. A lot of mothers can definitely relate themselves to my character, as most of them I also look out for the well being of my children
