Ankita Lokhande mourns legendary singer Asha Bhosle’s demise; says, ‘Gone from sight, never from our hearts’

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday, April 12, at the age of 92. She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, on Saturday evening due to a chest infection and passed away on Sunday, as confirmed by her son Anand Bhosle.


The news of her sudden demise has left the entertainment industry in shock, leaving a void in fans’ hearts. Many popular television celebrities like Ankita Lokhande, Divyanka Tripathi, Sudhanshu Pandey, and others mourned her untimely demise.




Ankita shared a picture with her and wrote, “Gone from sight, never from our hearts.. Asha Tai, thank you for your endless contribution. Your voice, grace, and legacy will live forever. So blessed to have met you in person and received your blessings. So humble, kind, and endlessly giving. Miss you, Tai. Sending love, prayers, and strength to all your fans and family.”


Divyanka, on the other hand, said, “A life so richly lived that it feels like many lifetimes in one. And yet, even that seems small compared to what her voice has given us. Asha ji.” Another TV star, Sudhanshu Pandey, wrote, “Apki god mein sar rakhkar jab ye tasveer li thi, tab nahi socha tha ki ye meri sabse anmol dharohar ban jayegi. The heartbreaking news of the legendary singer’s demise was confirmed by her son, Anand Bhosle. He said, “Meri mataji Shrimati Asha Bhosle ka aaj nidhan ho chuka hai. Woh jahan rehti thi, Casa Grande, Lower Parel, 11 am wahan unke antim darshan honge. Wahan aaiye, aur kal dopahar ko 4 baje Shivaji Park mein unka antim sanskar hoga.” (She passed away today. Those who wish to pay their last respects can visit her residence tomorrow at 11 am. The last rites will be performed tomorrow at 4 pm at Shivaji Park.)
