Aly Goni, who is currently making headlines after a video of him from a Ganpati celebration went viral on social media, has reacted to the recent trolling. He explained the reason behind not chanting ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ in the video. Aly recently spoke to FilmyGyan, where he responded to the hate comments over his video from
Ganesh Chaturthi.
While addressing the situation, he said, “I didn’t even realise it. I was lost in my thoughts. I never imagined something like this could create such a big issue. This was my first time attending Ganpati celebrations… I usually don’t go. I didn’t know what exactly I was supposed to do there, and I always worry that I might unintentionally do something wrong.”

He further added, “It’s not allowed in my religion, hum puja nahi karte hain. We have one belief — we offer namaz, we pray, and we respect all religions. It is written in the Quran that we must respect everyone, and I do.”
The controversy started after a video from the Ganpati celebration made waves on the internet. In the video,
Jasmin Bhasin and Nia Sharma can be seen chanting ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya,’ while Aly was standing silently. In another viral clip, the trio was seen posing for the camera, where Jasmin and Nia once again chanted ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ along with the photographers.
However, Aly was once again seen standing silently. Clips from the celebration quickly spread online, with many trolling Aly Goni.
Nia, on the other hand, recently defended Aly by saying, “Being a part of someone’s festivities is the utmost respect itself. And we celebrate Ganpati, Eid, and every festival in India with the same fervour!” While many fans agreed with Nia, others continued to troll Aly Goni over the same.
On the work front, Aly Goni was last seen on Laughter Chefs 2. He previously won many hearts with his time on Bigg Boss 14.
