Aditya Deshmukh opens up about his breakup, says his past relationship taught him a lot

Aditya Deshmukh recently went through a breakup and is yet to come out of the difficult phase. He says, “I’m trying my best to get out of it. I was depressed for a long time and behaved like a zombie on the set. I was barely speaking to anyone,” says the 30-year-old, whose ex-girlfriend is not a part of the industry.
They got close in 2018 and things were great initially, he reveals.“But after some time, it started going downhill. We used to have a lot of arguments, so we decided to take a short break, but we were in constant touch. Suddenly, a few months ago, I got to know that she was seeing somebody and is now planning to tie the knot. It was quite shocking for me,” he says, adding, “I still care for her and even now can’t figure where things went wrong.”
Aditya shares that she had problems with his career. “She was very insecure. She always thought that I’m surrounded by so many girls and kept doubting me. Actors are soft targets and often judged for what they do,” he says. So, is he open to another relationship now? “Right now I’m not open to anything. But let’s see. Time is the best healer, they say. I hope this, too, shall pass.”
On the work front, his show Ziddi Dil Maane Na is set to go off air around May end. The actor is saddened by this news and says, “This show was close to me because of its storyline and because it was my 25th show. We are all sad about the show going off air, but I believe that every ending has a new beginning.”
