Aanchal Khurana: Fame came early, but it never changed me
Actor Aanchal Khurana, currently seen as Richa in Tu Juliet Matt Di, says the secret to staying consistent in daily television lies in sincerity and genuine love for the craft. “I believe that if you truly enjoy the work you do and approach it with sincerity, the result will naturally be good. These days, I feel like I’m actually living Richa. Even off-set, I catch myself thinking like her,” she says.
According to her, once an actor understands the character deeply, performance becomes instinctive. “When you start living a character every day, everything flows naturally. Once you get a grip on the personality, portraying it becomes effortless. My role of Richa is funny and appears dumb, but she’s actually smart. That unpredictability gives me space to experiment”
She shares a strong bond with co-actors Sangita Ghosh and Digvijay Purohit. “I call them my on-set parents. We’re constantly laughing between shots. When they’re not around, I actually miss that energy.”
On the changing industry, Aanchal says, “Earlier, there were only actors. Now, creators with strong social media presence are entering the space. I understand the shift and I’m also working on growing as a creator.”
Having won MTV Roadies 8, she adds, “Fame came early, but it never changed me. My personality has always stayed the same.”
