A selfless firefighter’s comedy of errors

A comedy series titled Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala, revolving around a selfless firefighter, will soon launch on the tube.
The show, named after the protagonist, features Prashant Damle and Kavita Lad — as a Marathi-Gujarati couple — in lead roles. It also stars Naina Apte and Anang Desai, among others. The narrative focuses on the lives of the Chiplunkar family and their neighbours, who always help each other.Chandrakant is so selfless that he can’t say no to anyone, a trait that results in a comedy of errors.

Anooj Kapoor, Senior EVP & Business Head of the channel, said, “The show illustrates the advantages of a joint family system and revolves around the heroics of a good-hearted fireman.”
Producer Dharmesh Mehta added, “We aim to offer a look at the life of a selfless firefighter and the funny situations he gets into.” Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala will launch on August 18 and will air Monday to Friday at 10 pm on SAB TV.
