Being mom to 3 kids
Dimpy always loved the idea of having a big family. She had shared, “I feel very good about myself. When I look at my family, I feel ‘wow, I have a big family’. It’s great. I don’t think anybody I have known before has imagined me to be a mom of 3. I like the admiration people have when I tell them I have 3 children. Kids don’t weigh you down, they inspire you to do more.” When she announced her third pregnancy, she had shared, “We always liked big families. Living in Dubai, we see a lot of big families. It is not a common thing in India, but around me I have a lot of friends with big families. I see the kids are just so happy.”

Being a hands-on mom
Dimpy has always reiterated the fact that she loves being a hands-on mom and is ok with hubby being the bread earner of the family. “He travels 3 times a week. I am quite ok that way. I have settled up like this is my day and this is what I need to do. He is doing his best as a father, he is doing his best as a provider. His job is extremely taxing,” she said. Dimpy also stated that while she stays sleep deprived at times it’s a good thing for the kids that their father is well-rested and takes care of the morning chaos.

Living in a villa in Dubai
Dimpy and her family shifted to a villa in Dubai for a better and comfortable life for their big family. She had shared, “It’s actually a villa. I got more bedrooms, we live in a community. It’s got a huge park. It’s really nice for the kids. I was a bit apprehensive before as we were in Downtown Dubai. It was the centre of everything. However, moving here and living in a community I feel brings all the families together.”

Celebrating and creating moments with family
From Halloween, Christmas, New Years to every special occasion, Dimpy shares glimpses of her family celebrating them together. On New Years, she shared a family portrait with her family and wrote, “It took us 7 years to build this family of 7, but here we are smiling at 2022, for this year was very special. Here's wishing a fabulous 2023 from me and mine to you and yours.”

The reality of being a mom to 3 kids
Though Dimpy has help to take care of the kids, she loves to engage with the kids. Giving a glimpse of being a mom to 3 children, Dimpy wrote, “I often get asked, "How is it being a mom toa 3?” Simple answer is, it means - starting your day at 5 am even on weekends whether you got any sleep or not, - have TONS of laundry, and very little time to fold them, - catering to 3 different kinds of breakfast, -may/may not get the time to eat yourself - LOTS of coffee.”

Enjoying time with the kids
Dimpy is happy about the fact that there are a lot of spaces to take the kids and spend quality time. She drives her kids to their extra-curricular activities and also gives a glimpse of spending happy and giggly time with them.

Being married to Rohit since 2015
After a turbulent first marriage, Dimpy had completely taken time off from public life to focus on her personal life. Dimpy married Rohit Roy, a businessman from Dubai in 2015. About how Rohit became an integral part of her life, Dimpy had said, “Rohit was my olive branch from everything that I was going through. At that point, my only friend, philosopher, guide and confidante… everything was Rohit.”

Her wish to become a mompreneur
When asked about chronicling her journey of motherhood or having a career, Dimpy shared her plate is full right now. However she said, “Maybe once my children are older, I might think of starting something of my own… become a mompreneur or something of that sort. I might do something on social media. For now, I would love to chronicle my journey, I do get a lot of requests. I get a lot of questions on how I am managing and I would love to reply but then comes the little one ‘Mamma can you play with me?’, or the little older one, ‘Mamma can you help me with Maths’. I would feel bad telling them that I have to do something else. I received my mom’s full attention. She was a stay-at-home mom. I required her attention all the time. Looking back, I am very close to my mom. I want to have that with my kids.”
