12 Telly couples who embraced parenthood in the first half of 2023

The first half of 2023 saw many celebrities embracing parenthood. These TV celebrity new parents are rejoicing with the arrival of their little ones, and shared their joy with fans. They took to social media to share these precious moments and connected with well-wishers during this exciting time. Take a look at the couples, who became parents this year.

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim became parents on June 21. Dipika had a premature delivery and their baby was in NICU for 20 days. They returned home in July and also announced their baby boy’s name – Ruhaan.

Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar were blessed with a baby boy on May 10. The new mommy has also resumed shoot. The Bigg Boss 7 winner had been quite active during her pregnancy and did a lot of projects flaunting her baby bump. Gauahar and Zaid named their baby boy Zehaan.

Mohit Raina, who had tied the knot with Aditi in an intimate ceremony in January 2022, embraced parenthood this year. On March 17, the actor had made a post on social media, where he wrote, “And then just like that we became 3. Welcome to the world baby girl.”

Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth are the newest parents on the block. The couple welcomed their baby boy on July 19. They shared a photo with their newborn without revealing his face and wrote, “We have been blessed with a baby boy. Thank you all for the love and wishes.”

Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy welcomed twins on July 25. The couple welcomed a baby boy and baby girl. They had a C-section delivery and sharing the happy news Gautam told BT, “Our family is complete now.”

Sana Khan and Anas Saiyad embraced parenthood earlier this month on July 5. BT had exclusively written about Sana and Anas naming their baby boy – Tariq Jamil. She also shared candid moments of introducing her son to Quran for which she was praised for her dedication to nurturing her child's spiritual growth.

Actors Tanvi Thakkar and Aditya Kapadia were blessed with a baby boy on June 19. Sharing her C-section delivery, Tanvi had told BT, “It's surreal. When I hear people say how their world has changed post the baby, I used to feel, they just say that. But now I know it's true. I was in a lot of pain and extremely exhausted in the last days of labour and even post delivery, but when I got up to hold my baby, it was a magical experience.” The couple recently had a baby name revelation and announced his name as ‘Krishaay Kapadia’.

Vidisha Srivastava aka Anita Bhabi of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain delivered a baby girl on July 11. The actress had taken a break from the shoot on July 1. Speaking to BT she said, “It was an 18-hour-long labour and I was in excruciating pain. It has been a normal delivery. But the moment I saw my daughter, every discomfort and pain disappeared. Seeing my daughter in front of me felt like a miracle.” They named their baby girl – Aadya, a synonym of Goddess Durga. The actress told us that it was an unplanned pregnancy and her husband Sayak’s happiness knew no bounds when she broke the news to him.

Balika Vadhu fame Neha Marda had a premature delivery and had to be rushed to the hospital due to complications. Neha and Ayushman welcomed a baby girl on April 7 in Kolkata. They had a warm welcome ceremony for their li'l princess at home and in June they announced their baby girl’s name – Anaya.

Former child actor Harshh Lunia and his celebrity stylist wife, Karishmah Gulati embraced parenthood as they welcomed their baby girl on May 12. The couple has lovingly named their beautiful daughter "Jannatt H Lunia." Harshh had exclusively spoken to ETimes TV and said, “We had got the letter ‘J’ on the 2nd or 3rd day of her birth. Everyone started addressing her as Jaan, Jaanu. We thought it would be tricky name for her when she grows and Karishma suggested that she is heaven for us and hence Jannatt happened.”

Karan Vohra and his wife Bella Vohra, have been blessed with twin boys in mid-June. The actor, who plays the male lead in Imlie, posted several videos with his wife and newborns. From doing daddy duties to shooting for the daily, Karan often gives a glimpse of his new life.

After having a daughter, actor Barun Sobti and his wife Pashmeen Manchanda became proud parents to a baby boy on April 25. Barun spoke to BT, "I am very happy that Pashmeen and I are parents again. My daughter will turn 4 years soon and so it will be a handful managing two kids. I am delighted to be a father of two and have no words to express my joy.”
