The alleged incident took place in 2020 when the 9-year-old girl was vacationing with her family in Panama City Beach, Florida.Per People, according to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Duggar asked the girl to sit on his lap and then sexually abused her. He also allegedly had her sit next to him on a couch, covered them both with a blanket, and touched her inappropriately, including under her underwear. "As the vacation continued, he also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and covered them with a blanket," Bay County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) said. Statement added that the accused used to inappropriately touch the child's private parts.Police say the alleged victim, who was nine at the time, didn’t talk about it until years later during a forensic interview, which finally led law enforcement to take action against Duggar and arrest him. "After the victim’s father confronted him, Duggar reportedly admitted his actions to the father and Tontitown detectives," police said."The victim stated Duggar eventually apologized for his actions and the incidents stopped after the apology," the BCSO's statement continued.Per People, Duggar is now in jail, waiting to be sent to Florida, where the alleged abuse happened.
