Gen V and The Boys cast members pay tribute to Chance Perdomo on his sudden demise at the age of 27
Tributes are flooding in for the late actor, who tragically died at the age of 27 on Saturday, from the cast of The Boys and its spinoff series Gen V, in which Perdomo appeared.
Patrick Schwarzenegger, who played student Luke Riordan alongside Perdomo in Gen V, commented on X (previously Twitter) about his co-star: "This sucks. A lot. What a young talented actor, and a great friend - gone way too soon. It was a pleasure to work with him in 'Gen V.' RIP Chance .”
The 30-year-old actor later reposted a photo of him in character hugging Perdomo, who portrayed student Andre Anderson on the show, as he wrote in response, “Damn that just made me tear up.”
Robert Bazzocchi, who played student Liam in Gen V, paid tribute to his late co-star in an Instagram comment, writing "Wow." The first thing I told him during the pilot table read was that he was one of my favorite Sabrina actors.
"He is a standout. "So much talent and a warm soul," he added. "My heart goes out to his family and loved ones, may he rest in peace."
Perdomo died as a consequence of a motorcycle accident on Saturday, according to a statement from his representative. The crash left no other people harmed.
Perdomo played Andre Anderson in the Amazon Prime superhero television series and spin-off of The Boys, Gen V, which premiered its first season last September. Following his passing, Deadline reported that filming on the impending second season had been postponed.
Following the actor's death, The Boys cast members paid tribute to him on Saturday.
Antony Starr, who plays Homelander in the series, described Perdomo's death as "so goddam tragic," on his Instagram Story.
Jessie T. Usher, who plays Reggie Franklin, also sent a poignant tribute on Instagram, saying, " Tragic news. Rest in peace, Chance. Thank you for 'Andre.'"
In respect to the late actor, fellow The Boys cast members Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, and Karen Fukuhara reposted the Instagram statement on Perdomo's death, as well as the photo of him provided by Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, on their Instagram Stories.
Ted Sarandos paid tribute to the actor on Instagram, highlighting his work on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
"Chance was a bright young actor who died too soon. He was fantastic to work with on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. "Everyone at Netflix is sending love and strength to Chance's entire family and large circle of friends."
According to Deadline, Perdomo was born in Los Angeles but reared in Southampton, England, and was best known for his role as Landon Gibson in the After film franchise.
Perdomo's family and representatives said of his death in a statement to PEOPLE on Saturday: "His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those he loved dearest."
"We ask to please respect the family's wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother," the statement went on to say.
