American Idol 2026 winner: Hannah Harper lifts the trophy

American Idol has finally announced its winner.
Amidst all the dramatic songs, fierce rivalries, and amazing music, Hannah Harper has been declared the winner of the season 2026.

Hannah Harper was among the finalists that competed against each other in the grand finale aired live last Monday night. In the show, it started off with the elimination of contestant Keyla Richardson from the top three finalists. The remaining two contestants were Harper and Jordan McCullough, and in the end, the 26-year-old housewife beat them by having the most votes.
In anticipation of the finale, Harper commented on how the TV show provided a means for aspiring musicians to gain attention and chances in the world of music. She mentioned that no matter who was crowned as the winner of the talent show, the show had already given each finalist exposure to the public and laid the groundwork for their future career path.

Jordan McCullough, on the other hand, another finalist from Tennessee who serves as a worship director, received much acclaim due to his great vocal ability and stage performance during the entire course of the competition. They were both backed by the judges including Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, who recognized the improvement shown by the contestants.

Before the final episode, Harper had expressed that the show allowed contestants to become famous and get an opportunity within the music industry. She further added that whether the competition would be won by someone else, it was already helping the contestants to make a name for themselves in the industry.
